Love this to track my spending. Would LOVE LOVE if you could pick the start/end date of a budget instead of by month. My cc runs at random times and I’d like to track spending for that stretch of time.
  • Not intuitive, not simple

I work for a large retail company and my paychecks come in as expenses. I split my pay into checking and saving and then split my savings into buckets so there are a ridiculous number of transactions showing and it’s been suggested by Caleb himself that the updates have added a “rule” feature to minimize all the manual sorting of categories but I can’t find that feature anywhere in the app. I also split costs with roommates and it’s not straight forward on how to account for money in as a portion of a bill vs my payment of our entire rent/utilities bills. Needs work.
  • Someone flagged my original review and it got taken down

Suuuuuper bummed by the experience with the app. I downloaded day one, loved it, but over time, the issues got worse and worse until it was basically unusable. But I hung in there, because I heard updates were coming. With each major update, the issues would either not be resolved or would be replaced with even worse issues. I reached out to the Hammer media team and they told me an update was coming (the most recent one). I had left a review basically saying, if that update comes and it fixes my issues, I’ll change my review. The update came, still didn’t fix the problems I had been experiencing since month 2. I reached out the team again and they basically said, shrug those are known issues. When the founder of your company is in MULTIPLE videos saying for two separate updates that “all issues” are fixed and they aren’t, there has to be a better response than that. I asked for a refund and they told me I could have another free trial or I could have a credit to buy something from the merch store. I replied back and said those options don’t work for me and I was disappointed by their response. No further response from them. On a whim, I looked at reviews to see if there was any updates since I had deleted the app (and basically fishers $90 down the toilet). And my original review is gone. There were zero lies in that review. I have all the emails and screenshots saved.
  • Won’t let you connect all accounts

I sent an email to support 3 months ago asking for help with no response. I can’t connect my most used credit card to the app, so I can’t actually seamlessly budget. All of my groceries, gas, dining, utilities are on this card. I can’t put anything into categories now and I’m out a yearly membership.
  • Issues with customer service

I was super excited to start using the app. I opted for the yearly cost, but once I started to use the app, found some glitches and issues. I canceled the renewal and contacted customer service about my account. Hammer media has not been very responsive via email and there has been a lot of back and forth with no resolution.

I downloaded and bought the annual subscription in September, but still didn’t get my autographed cookbook. I was oddly looking forward to it. The app itself has improved, but when I created a cost pattern, it still won’t register it as my mortgage. Overall, easy to use

Was immediately taken to a pay wall. Why even offer the app if the first thing you do is ask for money? I’m trying to budget not be pestered for more money that I don’t have lol
  • Have to have sub to use

Have to pay money to use when it’s said you don’t have to
  • Does not recognize subscription

Downloaded and subscribed to the yearly subscription and will not recognize the purchase and keeps requiring me to pay again for another subscription. It has been over a week. I reached out to their help email and still unable to use the app I paid for.

Everytime I open this app or try to navigate to a different tab it asks me purchase a membership. I already have one though. Super annoying.
