Booktok: Watch Books Explained

I couldn’t access this application post download. It seems interesting to me that there aren’t more apps like this available online. Perhaps, relay to the powers that be that this app is useless just sitting on the shelves.

begging for money, literally a scam..

For those expecting not to pay or get at least an episode to trial, don’t waste your breath. Spent close to 15 minutes answering a wave of questions, only for it to insist on a payment method and leave me staring at plans. Just another scam app trying to steal $20 from you.

Description says in-app purchases, but you have to subscribe to read/watch anything.

The add I watched it promised no adds or money to read books on his app so i downloaded it, turns out everything cost money. I would not recommend to someone who isn’t rich

This app is horribly made. Back buttons don’t exist. There is no profile set up or settings page. It was marketed as being able to watch your favorite books, but the AI is done so horribly wrong and not accurate and is not even telling the correct story. I did the year one because I was bombarded with the “choose a subscription” pop up and when I clicked not interested, it gave me a 90% off discount for $30 a year and it wouldn’t let me leave or close that out. I thought “why not” if it’s good, it’ll be worth it. I tried watching something and saw how bad it was and immediately canceled my subscription. I want my money back for false advertising and there’s no way to even contact the creators. Even clicking app support in the App Store just takes you to some horribly made website to just sign up and no actual support. It’s a money scam. I’m going to have to go through my bank. Lesson leaned.

It makes you take a survey that is incredibly nonspecific to the point where they lump fantasy and romance into the same category. Makes you pay a subscription, and doesn’t allow you to even search for what you’re looking for. You can only see what they suggest to you based on a survey that makes no sense. Deleted app in less than 5 minutes.

Download this because I thought it was a free app why were they charging nope

Ok, so I love the concept but it gives you specific books to watch and I got this to see my favorite books that I’ve read before. You HAVE to get premium or something just to watch books you ACTUALLY want to watch. I wish it wasn’t pay to watch and have fun.

How does this not have more downloads?? I'm an aspiring author and being able to see my chapters as actual video content helps me catch pacing issues I never noticed before. Its like a writing tool AND entertainment in one. Team keep doing what ur doing 🙌 FEATURE REQUEST: please add ability to export video files so i can use clips in my book trailers!! would pay extra for this
