  • Thought it would be better

I don’t download tons of weather apps, in fact I have installed a total of zero. However, I kept seeing ads for this and thought it looked nice and the design was amazing. So I downloaded it and immediately regretted it. First of all, almost every time I opened the app I get asked to buy premium (which seems way too expensive but I’m probably just poor) which makes this already off to a bad start. Secondly, the only thing I ever use the Apple Weather app for is for the widgets. Using widgets is a no-brainer for me, and yet it tells me it is locked behind Premium. And I don’t know if it is my phone (iPhone 13 Mini) or the app, but it runs horribly. I can’t even scroll through the settings without it running way below 60fps (maybe around 30). I don’t see how I am expected to use all of the nice overlays and map visualizers if I can’t even use the menu smoothly?

The app looks cool and all, but upon opening the app, it says “Failed to connect to the element servers”. Please fix
  • Not Ready on MacOS Yet

I’m looking forward to this being available on MacOS, and am excited about its performance on iOS. However, the MacOS version so far fails to connect to element servers upon launch, requiring a force quit to get out of a “retry?” loop. I’m writing this review to get the developer’s attention! Go Element!!!
  • Looks ok but

Sure would be nice to NOT have the upgrade button in you face on every screen. Too annoying to navigate around while attempting to decide if an upgrade is worth while. No thanks, there are better apps for less money.
  • What the weather app should’ve been

I really appreciate how similar it feels to Apple apps. That made it quick to pick up, and it’s so much easier now to see what I actually care about
  • Nice looking but needs features

I downloaded this from an ad that said it was like DarkSky, which was my favorite app. I really like the aesthetics here it has great potential. But I couldn’t get UV Index to show, no matter what I did. I liked that I could place that stat above temperature (or anywhere I wanted ) but I still could not get UV index to display for my location in the US. I will check back in a few months or so to see if there are changes.
  • Clean but the radar is lacking

I want to like this and support it but I’d like to see radar for storms. This seems to be a basic feature that every other weather app has. I do care about precipitation but I want to see the radar for storms and severe weather and don’t see that anywhere.

So worth it! An awesome, beautifully designed app. It’s straightforward and provides precise real-time information through a clean, simple UI. There’s nothing else out there this elegant or thoughtfully built. Absolutely love the routes feature. It makes planning my day effortless. 10/10
