    Before the latest update, around December 10, Grok Imagine generated beautiful video with characters that moved and sounded like real people. After the update, characters appear wooden with flat voices that are no longer synced with their mouths. Answers to questions still seem good and fairly reliable, but video generation has become disappointing.

    Every update the apps gets worse and worse. It’s not worth the money and you can get way more freedom and creativity from other apps for less money. Example. I asked for Aztec tattoo images. Blocked. Wtf

    Update: they recently destroyed grok imagine so I’ll be ending my subscription. Grok has been super helpful with everything from history questions to house repairs. Love the text based AI part of grok. However my grievance lies with the Imagine portion of Grok. Firstly, if I can see literally anything on X including hardcore porn why are you censoring the imagine part of Grok so heavily? Especially when you supposedly have a “spicy” imagine for videos that may be nsfw. Yet whenever you use that option the video is moderated. So what’s even the point of including that option. It’s like “I’m going to give you the option to see some things you never have before! But… one condition… you can never see it.” Then on top of it all the imagine section is always broken. Videos have trouble loading. Your favorited gallery always glitches and doesn’t let you scroll through them. It’s just so glitchy and broken. And for what I’m paying it does not add up. Make it work and then focus on other features please. And only features that won’t moderate videos and make them unable to see. Thanks.

    As of December 9, 2025 this app use to give us life like characters with so much realism involved, heck it even had the most amazing motion physics I ever seen a AI dish out. And the characters even acted like real life people expressing emotion. Now all that realism is gone. It’s like the owner of the app said “ let’s take everything that made this app great and just ruin it “ Whatever y’all did I hope it was worth it because you just lost half of your user base.

    The other moderation of any image is ridiculous. Getting way out of hand. Simple images are blurred. No mode in video gen work. I want a refund of all my money. Xai killed it. Way to go guys.
