Its such a clunky old interface, clearly built by someone without good UI experience. Quite shocking that it has gained traction. Linking with WMJ feels like going back to 1980s also. Overall, there are better options out there

We’ve used Cellar Tracker for well over a decade now. The team continues to improve the website, and now the app, making it by far the best tracking tool hands-down. We also became paying members as soon as they launched the fee based system. It’s well worth the minimal cost. Way to go guys, keep up the great work.
  • Bad UX design—shame, shame, shame.

The CellarTracker app was obviously due for an update, but this is all form and no substance. Think about users using their phones with one hand. Having a search button at the bottom of the page, then a search bar all the way at the top, I find myself scrolling up and down a lot needlessly—a problem I didn’t have with the old app. Also, where are the pro reviews? I can’t see whether Jancis or Decanter have reviews for relevant wines anymore, even though I subscribe and always want to know what they have to say, so now I have to do three separate searches. Such an incredible fail—as a longtime user, I’m just furious that you messed this up so badly, and hope you’ll fire the person in charge. Clearly didn’t take time to understand the nuances of how CellarTracker provided a good and worthwhile experience for users.
  • Perfect Wine Cataloging for Me

This app does exactly what I needed; keeping track of my wine inventory and identifying locations. It was surprising to me that every bottle I own was already in the software’s database. When entering a new bottle, I only had to start entering the name when the database popped-up with the remainder and all data associated.

If you want to do serious work on your cellar, get the legacy version!

Love the app, love the simple but highly effective customization options, can’t put it on my Home Screen on iOS until the “NEW” is out of the app logo. Now that the old app has been renamed and says “OLD”, let’s get this logo beautiful!
  • Recent update is a huge step backwards

I’ve been a happy customer of CellarTracker for years and had been happy with the older app. But the new updated app iworks completely differently than the website and is nearly unusable. I amusing the website in a browser rather than he app on my iPad because it’s so bad.

Without a doubt, the best Cellar tracking software out there… I’ve been a member for over 20 years and it is the most invaluable resource there is if you’re collecting wine. They keep acting Features. They keep it at the top of the game… I wish they would integrate with Delectable so I could transfer my Wine notes to their database

I had good expectations, but: the interface is clunky and slow, you end up recording more bottles as you are not sure they were in the first time, then deleting it becomes a chore, as you need to do it one by one. The value calculations are wrong…. That is weird as it is a simple multiplication. My third bottle I tried to upload, it just sent an erro message saying “unable to upload” I had to delete them and redo it twice. Sorry, not a good experience for me. I was ready to pay the extra $ for the pro version but will certainly not do so now.

They took and antiquated app and made it harder to use. The old app may have been old but it did work. Now, it’s functionality worse. Multiple screens and actions to consume a bottle. Multiple screens to rate and find a wine in your cellar. Used to be one screen. And now ownership is having Apple delete multiple unfavorable reviews, instead of working with their loyal customers. Horrible. That’s unethical and nefarious. I am done with this company and filing a complaint with the BBB and Apple.
