Description

The Quiet Collection is a spiritual formation resource that provides audio collections for contemplation through various seasons and stages of life. Written by podcaster and New York Times bestselling author Emily P. Freeman, this is a resource you can listen to first thing in the morning, before you go to bed, or as you go along the way. With a combination of both ancient prayers and original content, the readings and reflective piano music will help you center your mind and ease the low-grade hum of anxiety that often pulses just beneath the surface of our lives. Whether you consider yourself to be a person of faith, whether your beliefs are deeply rooted or recently uprooted, whether you closely identify with a particular Christian tradition or are just spiritually curious, we hope you'll find welcome here. May the quiet surround and encourage you, and may grace surprise you kindly along the way. Text + Audio: Every offering is accessible by either listening or reading. Borrowed Prayers: Readings of ancient and familiar prayers, included with the free download of the app. Collections: Every Collection is written and read by Emily P. Freeman and accompanied with original piano music by Caleb Peavy. The Collections are available for purchase in-app.

The Lent Collection was the first collection I had purchased from Emily. It was OUTSTANDING. You can tell Emily spent so much of her time and energy on this with her words, the readings and the music. I listened to each day twice and at the end of the week reviewed the whole week. Everyday was just so rich. Needless to say I will be purchasing all of Emily’s collections in the future. Thanks Emily for sharing your creativity with us all.

Emily’s podcast (The Next Right Thing) is outstanding and The Quiet Collection is just as good! In The Quiet Collection, Emily reads meditations and prayers in her soothing yet strong voice, and shares her own soulful insight in short, accessible tracks with original music. You do not have to be religious to appreciate it. If you’re looking for ways to invite more calm, peace and simple joy into your life, The Quiet Collection and Emily can’t be beat.

Thank you Emily.... your voice hugs me daily, and I cannot thank you enough for the thoughtful, mentoring, grounding, centering jourrney through lent this this year. I did not listend daily but listened when I walked and I am so grateful. There were a few days in particular that I have found myself going back to over and over again.

My husband and I like to listen to it right before we fall asleep at night. Emily’s voice and words are a soothing balm to our souls. I appreciate the access to the transcripts, as well. I like to screenshot them sometimes as reminder of the truths I have heard.

Listening to the daily reading each morning of Lent this year became a calming & centering part of my morning rhythm. I appreciated having Emily gently guide me through reflections that were centered on the unfolding weeks of Lent. I’m so grateful for the time, energy, and heartfelt intention she gave in producing this collection. It’s a treasure that I will access over and over! ✝️
