    I love this app, I really do. I used it back when it was free. I got a new phone and didn’t download Sincerely again for a while. I decided to get back on it today, but you have to pay for it now. I’m a broke college student and can’t really afford to pay for the app right now, especially since I’ve been without a job for a while. It’s a great app, but I wish it was still free to use.

    This app used to be free for most things, allowing you to help a lot of people whenever you were feeling down. Now with the so called “letter limit”, it shows they’re basically gate keeping therapy to make a quick buck. If I had that kind of cash I’d be talking to a therapist. Get over yourselves and drop the “pro” subscription on what used to be a great service.

    I would get a ton of letters from what seemed like people lying that they were over the age of 18. I also wrote quite a few letters and never got responses. You also have to pay essentially $8/week to give others advice and never get any yourself. Honestly just capitalizing off of people’s loneliness without providing true connection. Make friends the honest way and lean on therapy. This is just a by pass for people who aren’t doing actual work friendship wise and won’t commit to bettering themselves

    this app used to be my lifeline, now i have to pay $8 a week if i wanna write more than one letter or read more than three letters. used to be great! now its just meh.

    It appears that it’s simply just a bunch of people talking about themselves. The whole idea is to help eachother out but people just want others to help them out. If that makes sense. Cool idea. Selfish people

    $8 a week. Not really free. That’s like $32 a month— better off paying for Spotify or Netflix, yeah? Used to be a frequent user, mostly benefitted from the free plan. But then y’all updated to where we can only read 3 letters (where I would normally read 4-7 depending how many people I could talk to/help out in my letter pile) unless you’re willing to shill $8 a WEEK. That’s crazy!! Y’all also do have a big problem of kids using the app, despite being a 17+ app. Y’all are better off just scrolling through r/confessions at this point.

    Why would you put a limit on how many letters I can read and respond to?? Isn’t the whole point of the app to help others? Why the f are you gonna paywall that??? How does this help anyone but the money hungry devs, I had wayyyyy higher expectations when I first installed. Shame

    Was really pretty good, but they’ve changed it. It’s now a lot more limited unless you make expensive in app purchase… Pity.
