This is a great password manager, by far the best I’ve used and I’ve tried quite a few. Easy to use and extremely well designed.

Proton Pass is amazing. Proton is amazing. I love Proton Pass, VPN, Mail, all of it. I subbed to Proton unlimited partly because I wanted the paid features of Pass and VPN, and partly because I just really wanted to support Proton what little bit I could. I really appreciate the Proton team and what they do.
  • No iOS Safari extension support

Having been on the lookout for a fully integrated iOS password manager, I was really hoping this would be it. I heard great things, saw the excellent reviews, and immediately bought a 3-year subscription, only to discover that unfortunately, it lacks iOS extension support for iPhone and iPad. Consequently, I'll be cancelling my account to request a refund and will gladly update my review to 5 stars once full iOS Safari support is introduced.

Migrating to proton pass from 1Password as I already have ultimate and my 1Password yearly is coming up. Lack of any safari extensions completely.
  • Obese App that Gobbles your iPhone's Storage

This app was created by scientists from CERN - the organization responsible for the Large Hadron Collider - so it's no wonder it carries a similarly MASSIVE footprint, weighing in at a staggering half gigabyte(!). This is laughably large compared to ANY other password manager in existence on ANY platform, full stop. What could possibly justify this? Maybe it's bloated with built-in ads? Whatever the reason, it denotes carelessness on the part of the developers. It's just not a good look. Indeed, we should feel grateful that most other apps are unlike this one and do not rapidly devour the expen$ive storage on our iPhones.

Proton is truly revolutionary. I love that every service they offer is built with encryption at its core, and Proton Pass is no exception. That said, while their services are top-tier in terms of privacy and security, they fall a bit short when it comes to user interface and efficiency. For instance, Proton Pass currently doesn’t allow you to sort items by type without filtering out everything else. When I log in, I’m met with a cluttered mix of aliases, identities, and login information all jumbled together. I’d love to see everything at once—logins, aliases, identities, etc.—but neatly grouped by category for easier navigation. Another issue is the inconsistency in icons. Some logins display icons automatically, which looks great and improves usability, but others don’t—and there’s no option to manually add them. This inconsistency makes the interface feel messy and harder to use. I really admire Proton’s vision and the powerful technology they’re building. With a bit more attention to design, visual clarity, and intuitive organization—something more in line with Apple’s polish—it could be truly exceptional.

Best Password manager! Hands down. No competition. To be clear here… like with all things. When you have choices and you are trying out all options to see what best fits your need there will obviously be minuscule things that you will appreciate more in one option than in another. However, Proton pass will push an update, and it’s like every time that minuscule little feature gets added lol and this password manager just gets that much better. I pay for the entire Suite. Money well spent in my opinion. Love the proton calendar! Proton mail and VPN speak for themselves. I am, however, VERY Excited to have enough funds to really get to use proton wallet. The layout is better than all other wallets. Cant wait. Thanks Proton Team. P.S. My background in Cyber security would make me an asset. Say if the company was looking to hire someone who believes in this company and its must have service they provide! 🙏
  • Need to allow more than 10 email accounts to monitor

GREAT app. The only thing is that I need it to allow much more than 10 email accounts to monitor for breaches. I really love this feature but I don’t know where else to do this all in one place where I can check the list of email accounts I already have been using from before I started using Proton. There are too many to have to input one at a time manually into haveibeenpwnd daily to check for breaches. I can’t migrate them all to Proton accounts for various reasons (One example: If you delete an email account on Yahoo, AOL, etc except for Gmail, they allow the same username to be used by anyone else who wants to register it as a new account… and many of them are unfortunately already linked with the identities of myself or other people in my family since we all used the same wifi & isp’s in the past. Another example: Many of my emails are still linked to accounts I still haven’t discovered yet… sometimes I only discover these forgotten accounts when they show up in a breach or I come across something by chance or something) and this feature has become an extremely helpful tool because even my Safari password manager hasn’t detected any of the breaches that Proton Pass has and I’m worried about my accounts that I can’t include because of the 10 account limit on non Proton generated accounts. Please allow more accounts to be added so people like myself can better protect ourselves from breaches before it’s too late.
  • Nice app, but…

The app is allowing up to 3 free OTP requests, but once you go over the limit, it will not let you access any of them. It’s suggested to use a separate OTP app with this if you have multiple OTP requests for your logins. A hard limit on the app or showing the first three that you added only would be a great idea.
  • More than just a password manager

This app has a simple and beautiful note feature, pass keys, and many other things. Simplicity at its best.
