  • Not for me

I didn’t actually try doing this because as soon as they suggested I eat a low fat low carb diet, I knew that this was based off of old outdated ideas. Doctors no longer promote low fat diets. They now are saying healthy fats are good for your heart. Counting calories is a waste of time because some calories are good while others are bad. It’s not a sustainable way to lose weight. This program might help some people if you want to check in every day for accountability but it’s pretty expensive to just check in. They don’t say this until you answer a hundred questions but it’s $200-$300 dollars for a 10 month plan just to tell you to eat healthy, exercise every day and weigh in and drink water. They tell you to meal track, which is important but you can do that on your own and have a friend keep you accountable. Again, I didn’t do the program so maybe it could help some people but it’s not for me.

They will trick you into auto renewing for another year even if you don’t use the app for 6 months. They will be sure not to send you a reminder email so they can get their money. Even if you ask to cancel they will keep you on auto renew. They have already been in trouble with lawsuits in the past regarding this.

Ever since the latest updates, the app will not stop bugging. It’s such a disappointment given the price that we pay for subscription
  • Love it.

I still love this app but it’s a little glitchy. Every morning, my app is stuck on the day before & I have to close out the app and open it again. No big deal but just a little annoying. Also, some of the foods I enter will have the wrong amount of calories. Ex, yogurt or bagels etc will sometimes be 10-20 calories off

Gave me 30+ questions then told me to pay $80+ to use 💀 absolutely not.
  • Tech glitches

I often have to reboot my phone to get all the features to load. This is a common complaint on their Community page. Also, the app doesn’t sync between devices so you can’t do things like track your meals on your phone but read your lessons on an iPad. Since the program tracks everything you have to do it all on one device. On another subject, it’s not very personalized or personal without add-on packages (purchases).
  • Billing charges

I never used the app they charged me a huge renewal subscription. When I tried to leave it gave me the run around and offered a discount to try and get me to stay. But did not offer a partial refund or even the ability to use the app until my end date. This is why people hate subscriptions - crooked behavior like this. I tried to cancel immediately after the charge and it wouldn’t refund my payment. Now I have paid for a full 6 months of something I can’t use. So, make sure to cancel the app before your subscription is up so you can get the discount!!! And set a calendar reminder immediately upon signing up to cancel.
  • Doesn’t do anything

This app offers absolutely nothing to help you - just gives you lots of pages to read that in summary say “if you believe it, you can do it.”
  • I was charged wrongfully.

I had use the Noom app successfully in the past. I was curious about starting again and started to investigate the cost, etc. apparently opening up my app engaged a charge to my account for nine months that I did not ask for. I tried to find how to, request a refund and you get tossed around to the point where you are not able to get the refund. I'd be interested in starting again except for I just was charged for nine months without using it.
