  • Latest version of app SLOW - update

1/17/2026 sorry to say the app just fails to impress. The last update all my connect device disappeared so I had to go back through and reconnect with Apple health and the scale. Steps still seem not to be counted but they are clearly logged in Apple health. 11/11/16/2025 update, reduced to one star. Hoped they might comment on my last post. But clearly Noom has stopped cat about their costumes you partake in their customers unless you are on one of their overly expensive diet plans. The app has become like a games with tokens and rewards for logging meals. Why not just be the best food logging app. And I still can’t retrieve my previous logged meals. THIS A HUGE BUG! 11/1/2025 - update- Long time user of Noom both their paid program and the free App. Over the last couple updates its attempts to improve have taken a huge step backward. Thing that appear to taken a step backwards: 1) I lost the log history, over 5000 meals GONE with last update. 2) the ability to look back at logged meals seems to have been removed 3) this whole gamer points thing, I just want a good adult oriented food logging tool gamer points do not motivate me. 4) I want a way to extract my food log so when I go talk to my doctor I can show them what I’ve been eating I’ve been using Noom for a little over a year. The first six month with the coaching service. It’s helped me loss 50 pound. I now use the calorie counter to keep track of my calorie intake and stay mindful of what I eat. But as of the last couple of updates the app has become slower taking long to launch and slower to record meals. I still use the app but the designers need to refocus on usability and not add more features. A tool is only a good tool if it is usable. The current app is heading into the not usable zone. Here is what I see as broken. BTW, I run the app on my iPhone 12 Pro using latest app and iOS 15.1.1 Last two updates of the iOS version of the app have REALLY impacted performance. On a clean start it takes 15-17 seconds to get to the Home Screen during which time the app flashes the Noom icon so it appears to be loading. Entering water consumption now cause strange icon actions as it Randomly filled glasses each time you tap a glass. Additionally it takes 5-10 seconds after logging your meal for the app to return to the Home Screen. This would not be so bad if at least when you tap the done icon it would change color so you knew to app was acting on your command. As it is you don’t know what app is doing or if if even saw that you tapped the done button.

Noom helped me build discipline by changing how I think about food, not just what I eat. The daily lessons and accountability made it easier to stay consistent and make healthier choices long term.

Loving this app so far and am already seeing results a week in. My only two things I’m not thrilled with are that I can hide my weight from the home page. I already think about it every second of the day. I don’t need the number staring at me every time I open the app. Also I have a run conn ring that I wear 24/7 and I can’t track steps with it so my step goal is not accurate.
  • Life changing weight loss tool

Noon has been amazing for my weight loss journey. Building daily healthy habits has changed my relationship not just with food, but my environment in general. One drawback, they desperately need to add the ability to share recipes with other users. Manually typing in each ingredient is a huge time consuming pain when when we make a home cooked meal and my wife and I try to share the recipe.
  • No Free Trial!

I was very optimistic about joining Noom based on its high ratings. However, I had to cancel the same day as I joined with a "Free Trial" due to needing surgery. My doctor told me I could not be on weight loss medication prior to surgery. So I cancelled the SAME DAY as I joined. I notified the doctor assigned to me as well as the coach. I canceled my subscription. Now I have received notification that the medication has been shipped to me and they are refusing to refund me!!! I feel that they are deceptive in saying free trial and that they shipped the medication I can't use after canceling! Stay away from Noom and beware of charges!

I'm trying noom for the second time! I honestly really enjoy this app. It gives you so many tools for long term weight loss. The reason I'm trying it a second time is just because I fell off (at my own fault) the first go around. It's been about 8 or so years since my first try and I really like how the app has improved over the years.
  • The family plan sucks.

The price, not the problem. However being on a secondary/family member account is really the definition of bad app design and lack of care for user experience just so you buy the normal subscription. I'm constantly having issues with the UI, which has not been an issue with my partner's account at all. It's slow, clunky, and having surprise issues that consistently get escalated to the development team (getting passed from AI, to Chat, to Tech Team, and handed to Dev team.) It takes forever to get resolved and is an unpleasant process. The only time I've been consistent with Noom (and it works) was when I was on a "Primary" account. Otherwise, It's a pain of an app to navigate and I cannot recommend it.
  • BEWARE IF TRYING TO GET GLP-1

I signed up for noom with the understanding it’s for GLP-1 medication. I selected “GLP-1” as I was purchasing. I waited a week for my meds to arrive and hear from a Dr and nothing. I reached out to customer service (which is awful they had me on hold for 20 min only to put me to voicemail). I got on chat only to find out after I spoke with a person (had to ask the AI “may I speak to a person?” They told me my subscription was just for the app, not the meds which is ridiculous and NOT what I signed up for. I am contemplating reporting them to the better business bureau for false advertising. Take your money somewhere else. The app for weight management is the most overpriced calorie counter on earth $184 a month! Ridiculous. Just use my fitness pal and seek out a better GLP-1 provider.

Stay away from this company. Their service is not that great, and their inflexibility around scheduling delivery is very acceptable.
