    I read the hard copy BG and only use the app to share articles with others. I want the search function obvious on the Home Screen. I’m tech literate so this is not a Luddite complaint.

    The app has a weird limitation. When I click a link using Gmail and it launches a web page that makes me login and then launches the app... Why not have the authentication built into the app like others?

    It’s mind boggling how little news the Globe reports. Essentially none. In fact it’s a huge source of embarrassment for Massachusetts literati who have no choice but to read the NYT for actual news. Seems that all the globe cares about is scoring points with wokies. In fact, the less rational the better. In short , if a person or subject is woke, they can do no wrong, and any questionable ethics are ignored. In contrast, if a topic or person are independent & pander free rational, the globe will either bury it on page 100, or not mention it all or report 1/2 of the story, to skew the message to their wokie bias. To appear balanced they will publish the extreme wacky right fringe, but not the moderate, calm minded cerebral centrists. Sad, actually sad.

    The functionality of the news section of the app is pretty good and intuitive. If you are interested in playing the crossword or other typical newspaper games do not bother, that section of the app is wildly out of date and almost unusable.

    Decent local coverage but I cannot share articles to people who don’t subscribe to the Globe. Most newspaper subscriptions allow for several gifts a month.

    I can count on the Globe for the facts very early in the morning. Digital on the iPad or phone is so convienent.Really don’t need the paper version of the Sunday Globe in my driveway, but I understand that advertisers insist on it.
