  • Great News - Broken App Verification

Reuters has been a go-to source for accurate, unbiased news. However, I have cancelled my subscription as the app has broken for myself and other individuals and Reuters has made no effort to fix it. Attempting to access the device— across any network configuration— results in a Verification Death Loop. “Verifying the device…” appears briefly on the screen upon opening the app, stating ‘the requested content will be available after verification’ yet it never loads the site after the fact, only prompting me to verify my device again ad nauseam. I love Reuters but this is unacceptable and has forced me to explore different options.

The content and subscription price are good. The app is mostly poor. Forced updates to worse versions. Many large ads which are unusually easy to trigger as part of a normal scrolling motion.

"Verifying the device" screen pops up and cycles thru successful verification and repeats continously. I am a subscriber but not if this continues...

Do you ever send notifications? I’ve had the app installed for years with different iphones and always the latest operating systems, and I’ve never once seen a notification from Reuters.
  • Pushy and Dosrespectful

The fact I don’t want another account and Reuters pretty much force you to do so is a really big deal. No application has right or power to such terms of service. Add news is fundamental part of life, To ask people to give if they are able is one thing, but to force membership fees particularly for news is amoral and unethical despicable bad practice more reticent of a tyrant running a country or business for personal profit…

Let me tell you why I deleted your app. You require me to subscribe to read your articles while you force ads on me simply to read your news headlines. The reason you pinheads are losing readership is because of these tactics. Be Every bit of news you post is available in multiple other locations without these requirements. Kiss another one goodbye!
