    I’ve been using the app for years I love it! My only issue is that recently it has developed some quirks, like if you put your phone to sleep or switch from landscape to portrait it will put you back on page one of the chapter. And if you use the scroll bar to get back to the right page the page number stays on the screen in a bright orange box.

    Can’t read some series on the app, so it sends you to the website. But the website barely works and makes the pages tiny. It took nearly 30 swipes to get from one page to the next. If these series can be on the app, then the website should at least work

    They don’t want the app to have an M rating so they’re hiding series that I’m paying for behind a worse reader in browser. Don’t even get me started on how annoying navigating the website is. If I got to the series page it only shows manga volumes that you can buy. It’s a scummy, greedy way to make reading the chapters harder

    Decided to get on the Shonen Jump app as I was caught up with the US volumes of Chainsaw Man & wanted to keep going ahead. The UI is clean & fairly easy to navigate though I find the search function kinda meh. My main con is that I wish we could read the “mature” manga in the app. Sucks you have to go on the webpage to do that & the least the app could do is make the link clickable. Plus I think there is inconsistencies with what is “mature” & what isn’t. Chainsaw Man I feel could fall under the “mature” label with how raunchy Denji is & how violent and gorey it can get, but it’s not. Same situation is over the Viz app too where these two comparisons reflect my point better. You got all this Junji Ito manga with haunting imagery, body horror, and so on, yet can’t read any Inio Asano cause it has *gasps* naked characters at times. Still the amount of content available alone and the subscription price being only $3.99 makes me feel like I am committing robbery. While I got it for Chainsaw Man, there’s a bunch of other series I want to read as well. Just wish I didn’t have to go through an additional hoops to read “mature” manga so I got to give it 4 stars.
