keep raising the price, locking basic features behind higher paywalls, added tiers of subscription, all for what? most of the features the stock camera/photo app can do better in 2025. asking me to pay more every other time i open the app with very little value added - i have a better idea 👋

Loved the product for years. Both unpaid and paid versions! Lots of options if you couldn’t afford to pay, and for awhile it was a cheaper monthly subscription (less than $10). Now it’s $12.99 a month and without subscription you barely have any filters at all. The app is BUGGY! It crashes a lot, will lose progress easily, has a he’s time saving even small videos. For the price you’re paying you should get more filters (maybe even film options like Tezza, which by the way, they offer for free) and even Lightroom level editing/export quality. If I could give 0/5 stars for this corporate greed (but now bogus quality), I would. Download Tezza. Trust me.

I have been using VSCO for over 10 years and can’t believe how horrible it’s become. almost every feature that used to be free is behind a huge and unreasonable paywall. i used to pay for this app and can sincerely say it’s not worth it anymore. UI is still fine but besides that the app changed for the worse.

I don’t think this is the best strategy to push already paying members to upgrade to a more expensive subscription that offers nothing new except a few additional filters that already exist in my current plan. The price of the VSCO Plus subscription rises every year - from $19.99 to $29.99, and this year it’s $39.99. But what do I get for that? The Remove tool works terribly (many other apps do it much better). I still can’t select multiple photos easily - I have to tap on each one individually. The interface becomes harder and harder to understand with every update. It feels like the developers are pushing people to look for alternatives.
  • Hate and love it.

I’ve been a VSCO user for ten years now. It used to be fantastic, and now it hardly works. Where to start? Importing photos is never organized, every single time it’s a mess. Even if it’s set to order by “newest” it’s always mixed randomly upon import, very frustrating. This has been an issue for at least a year. Second, after a few edits, the preview of the photo will go black and you have to go back and re edit the entire thing. Also had been an issue through multiple updates. They keep adding new “pro” features and ignoring these same glitches. I’ve been a premium subscriber for years, and I refuse to subscribe to “pro” until they fix these simple glitches. Oh, also, the “pro” filters are useless - they’re the same as the other filters. For example, if it says “a9 PRO” and you go to “all filters” and find plain old a9, it’s the same filter. I don’t see the point in paying more for the same glitchy app, what a scam. I’ve tried posting these issues on their instagram to get no response. I’ve since been looking for other photo editing apps. FIX THE APP VSCO.

Amazing for editing compared to Insta but can only handle so much before bugging/crashing. It is annoying to edit a picture and then close the app & reopen to prevent issues. Also if you switch between apps (such as music and back) it will get rid of what you are doing. Again i seriously love this app and consistently spend money on it, but run into frequent issues. I am excited to test out the computer version though.
