Description

Researchers at Monash University have developed the low FODMAP diet and a corresponding app to assist in the management of gastrointestinal symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The Monash University FODMAP diet works by swapping foods high in fermentable carbohydrates (FODMAPs), with low FODMAP alternatives. Around 75% of people with IBS experience symptom relief on a low FODMAP diet. The app comes directly from the research team at Monash and includes the following: - General information about the FODMAP diet and IBS. - Easy to understand tutorials to guide you through the app and the 3-Step FODMAP diet. - A Food Guide detailing the FODMAP content for hundreds of foods using a simple 'traffic light system'. - A list of branded products that have been certified by Monash as low FODMAP. - A collection of over 70 nutritious, low FODMAP recipes. - Functions that allow you to create your own shopping list and add notes to individual foods - A Diary that enables you to record food eaten, IBS symptoms, bowel habits and stress levels. The Diary will also guide you through step 2 of the diet - FODMAP reintroduction. - The ability to adjust units of measurement (metric or imperial) and activate colour blindness assistance.

Good for basic fruits & veg as you’re learning, but anything else? Forget it. The library is not extensive and as other reviews have pointed out, not useful in the USA.

I used this app for years to log in my symptoms. The diary went back several years. I used it often to go over with my doctor. Today I open the app and after the update they erased the years of my diary that I have been relating on. I’m devastated. Thanks for the heads up.

App is not so good. Wasted money. I should be able to mark down foods I can’t eat so it. Comes up with what I can. Like I’m vegan so want to be able to eliminate non vegan recipes and just show me the ones I can eat.

Cannot access the recipes this is ridiculous. To be a leader and primary source in the area of Fodmaps this is a joke.
  • Terrible search option

You get better results from google. Really hard to find items. I don’t recommend.
  • Eight dollars and barely any recipes. I want my money back.

I purchased this thinking there would be so many recipes making it easier for my low FODMAP journey. This is as useful as Google search
  • Latest update erased years of data!!!! Resolution????

How do I recover the years of data that appear to be lost (from the diary portion of the app) after updating the app? This is incredibly frustrating, as there is no warning about this and it’s bizarre that it’s even possible in 2025. Please advise me about how the data can be recovered, because if this isn’t resolved I won’t be using this app again. Why keep a diary that can be deleted randomly? Useless.
  • Great so far!

This is an incredible resource for starting the FODMAP diet. If I could request a feature, it would be to create your own meals from the ingredients list allowed.
  • Charged for purchase without knowing

I recently downloaded the app that was a FREE download but was charged later that day for $7.99 after only browsing the app once. I requested a refund from Apple for this unprompted charge and am waiting for a response.
