  • I like the app, but there is a problem

    I really like how the app makes it easier to find who liked your profile and send notes and stuff. One thing that caught me off guard and kinda ticks me off is the fact that this app is made for women, but I’m still seeing dudes on there. I’ve reported about 2 or 3 of them for impersonation.

  • Banned without warning

    This has been my go to app since it was first released back in ~2013. Never had any issues with it (aside from successfully finding a long term relationship lol). Have even been a paying subscriber on and off many times. Woke up today and without warning my verified account was banned. I requested an appeal and they denied it without any explanation. I even requested they go through my messages to see that I am a real and genuine person. I strongly believe an ex who was feeling vengeful falsely reported me to prevent me from moving on. I am also a masc lesbian and have seen all the reviews of other masc women / non binary / trans people being banned without reason so I guess it could be that, too. Horrible customer service experience! Also, beware: there are a lot of obvious bots, they’ve changed the paywall so you can only see a few matches at a time, they’ll tell you that you have more new matches than you actually do, app is basically useless unless you pay (which I would be wary of after seeing people have been banned right after paying and not refunded), lots of men and couples, etc.

    I want to like this app but it’s literally unusable without paying for the premium subscription. The gold doesn’t allow you to see your likes or even a few likes a day which is how you meet people. Good luck doing anything if you want to try using the free version. Other dating apps at least let you see 3-5 likes a day. I want to love this app since it’s geared towards the LGBTQ community, but forcing you to pay $20 to even function on the app is a bit ridiculous. I would start a new account if they allowed for a few extra features on the free or gold level.

    I never write reviews, but this app was so egregious I’ve decided to. The only good features of this it are the same you can find on Hinge or any other dating app. I’m a lesbian and 19, and I set my profile to only see women ages 18-21, then most of the likes I got were from 30+ year olds, including men, and there is apparently no way to turn this off. Within 10-20 minutes of having the app, it told me I used too many swipes and I couldn’t see any new profiles for 24 hours. Then, when I had around 50 likes (most of which were clearly fake profiles asking me to be their sugar baby), I went through only a couple of them, then it blocked me from seeing the other profiles unless I paid $20 for the week alone. Don’t waste your time or money on this app.

    You literally have to pay to do absolutely anything on this app. You can only swipe about ten times and then can’t swipe again for another like 12 hours. Useless.

    You only get like 5 chances to swipe through the people who liked you before having to wait 24hrs. Which is basically 5 chances to swipe through the bots and men who unfortunately decided to like your profile, so you end up with net zero real interactions with a potential date. Her has absolutely gone downhill over the years. It no longer serves the community it states it does (lesbians and other sapphics) and It’s mostly bots and men who don’t bother to read your profile clearly stating you’re only interested in women. The state of dating is already horrendous, made even more so by money hungry apps.

    The app is filled to the brim with bots and my account was deleted/frozen after one day after I bought Premium, verified myself, and ensured I stayed within community guidelines. When I submitted an appeal, I received an auto-reply email moments later.
