I had such a strange time on this app. I matched with a couple of people, was having normal conversations. My profile didn’t seem inflammatory in any way? but i was banned after almost a week. i reached out to ask what had happened and they only told me that “they take reports seriously” and that I “violated the terms and conditions” in a way that they won’t describe and i can’t find. I’m trying to get an appeal, but i haven’t received an email back in a few days.
  • Revamp HER or let it die.

And I thought some cis hetero men were bad! HER really brings out the worst in our community, doesn’t it? It is rampant with pathetically desperate folks seeking sx, a secret rendezvous or third for the bedroom. There’s barely anyone with substance or who comes across as remotely mentally sane. I wouldn’t be so judgmental if hooking up was what this app was specifically for but instead it boasts real queer connection. The problem is, how do you connect with anyone when you’re limited on number of swipes you can do, on filter options, and on how many likes you can view within a 24 hour period. You can no longer send friend requests without a premium membership. And maybe it was just a problem on my end, but I can’t see nor send messages. The only message I was able to view was likely from someone who paid for that feature. “Communities”, while a nice thought are absolutely dead and serve no purpose to the app when basic features and functionality aren’t available. Founders and designers need to go back to the drawing board on this. After not even 36 hours of this app I’m over it and installing to make room on my phone for something that might actually be worth my time.
  • Not actually for nonbinary

I wouldn’t have tried even but the app SAYS it’s for a whole bunch of folks on the queer spectrum. But I was kicked off just one day in for not being nonbinary enough. I checked and double checked. I know what i wrote. I know what pictures i posted. Nothing violated any community rules. They kicked me for not appearing nonbinary enough.
  • Discriminates against men!

The makers of this app have the balls to say “All love is valid: No discrimination. Spread love, not hate!” in their marketing copy, but then freeze your account if they judge you to be a “cis male,” even though “straight male” is an option to choose when creating your account. F this discrimination under the guise of “inclusion” and “user safety.” Do cis males pose a safety hazard to your user base because of the way they were born?
  • Annoying

It would be nice if we didn’t continuously get the notifications of the same messages from HER over & over. It’s unnecessary. Sheesh, I had to turn notifications off.
  • Pure Garbage

This app is a hot dumpster fire. From the interface to the “security measures” to the quality of real people on there. Not a safe space for lesbians and a breeding ground for predators
  • Great Option for Finding a Parther

After my divorce I tried a few different lesbian dating apps but had no luck. There were a lot of men pretending to be women and couples wanting a “unicorn.” HER was a breath of fresh air. Did not run into the previous issues and felt the layout allowed for a better idea of the compatibility w ppl based off the questions they could fill out. I met my current partner on the app and we’ve been together almost 4 years.

  • So much for a Safe space for WLW

In the online dating world, WLW are UNWILLINGLY approached by men and heterosexual couples constantly. HeR is no different, and is filled with catfish, hetero couples and bots. Unverified users fill my feed and I’m always turning away the very things I am trying to avoid. 0 real-life meetups after well over a hundred likes means your product attracts the wrong kind of people. In other words; men. I would not recommend this app for actual lesbians.
  • Not the best

This app is decent but, there are a few issues. The notifications never seem to go away. Also it crashes from time to time. Lastly, the amount of scammers is ridiculous.
