YouTube has revolutionized the way we consume video content, creating a platform where users can engage with creators and brands alike. However, one notable feature that remains absent is the ability for viewers to comment on ads and commercials. Allowing comments on these advertisements could enhance user engagement, provide valuable feedback to advertisers, and foster a more interactive community. Here are several reasons why YouTube should consider implementing Allowing comments on ads would encourage viewers to engage more deeply with the content. Just as users can express their opinions on videos, enabling comments on commercials would create a space for discussions about the advertisements themselves. This engagement could lead to a richer viewing experience, where users feel their voices matter, and brands can connect with their audience on a more personal level. YouTube thrives on community interaction, and allowing comments on ads would further this sense of community. Viewers could share their thoughts, experiences, and even humorous takes on commercials, creating a space for dialogue. This could lead to the emergence of trends or memes surrounding certain ads, enhancing their visibility and impact. The comments section could become a hub for discussions that extend beyond the ad itself, enriching the overall content ecosystem on the platform. In conclusion, allowing comments on ads and commercials on YouTube could significantly enhance user engagement, provide valuable feedback to advertisers, foster community discussions, encourage transparency, and improve content quality. As the platform continues to evolve, it is essential to explore new ways to enhance the user experience and strengthen the relationship between brands and consumers. By embracing the idea of commenting on advertisements, YouTube could create a more interactive and dynamic environment that benefits everyone involved.
  • Bye Bye Shorts 😊

Since day one i wanted to opt out of shorts. I was starting to worry i may have to delete the app entirely. As a species were really facing a challenge here to keep our attention and time to the things that bring is meaning in life. The way corporations are fighting for our attention is not normal, its unnatural. YT Shorts was sucking up that attention, when all i want to use this app for is watch videos on my tv. I just checked my feed, and NO SHORTS! 😭👍🏼 thank you- i feel like i have my time back. Three stars for the ads though. I remember when YT was free, and now Google cant figure out a way to make revenue than to play ads at the beginning if videos you arent sure are worth watching in the first place.

These updates get worse and worse. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and now YouTube kills my battery and makes my phone overheat and to make it even worse. Now after the last update. Random YouTube shorts will start blasting full volume in my pocket after the app has been closed and the screen is off. What an atrocious app with an incompetent staff working on it!

  • FIX AD ROTATION PLEASE

I am so tired of watching a video sideways, only for a vertical ad to pop up and flip the video, forcing me to pause, unfullscreen, and re-fullscreen just to get it back to how this was. I get it — ads are provided in vertical form. Fine. But don’t flip my video into vertical too just because of that. So annoying. It’s been this way for months I would’ve thought you’d fix it by now.
  • Too many ads

I used to love yt but you’ve added so many ads that it’s no longer enjoyable. As soon as a back to back ad appears I leave and go to Netflix or Hulu. Their content is worth the extra $5 for ad free version. You want $30 for ad free subscription but it’s simply not worth it!
