It used to be a little annoying. But this month, I listened to one book and was cut off from further books of my choice There’s literally no reason to pay for this service anymore

I enjoyed using this app. But with the new policy I will not be able to support this app anymore. Go back to the original policy.

I have used Scribd before with no problem and loved it. Decided to resubscribe last week and the app keeps telling me I need a plan. Apple has charged me, but I cannot access anything. I have deleted app and reinstalled. Still nothing. I have sent THREE emails….NO RESPONSE. So now I have paid $16 for absolutely nothing. 😡😡😡

Now that the plans have changed, this service is not even worth it. The whole upgrade in the plan change was the worst thing ever. Now you can’t even access a book you want to listen or read without the unlock option. This is terrible and I am going to cancel!!!
  • The BEST experience I’ve had with e-books, audiobooks.

Everand has had almost everything I’ve ever searched for and most of what I want as audiobooks, which I prefer. It’s less expensive than the Audible or Goodreads, and you have unlimited access to all of the titles, not just a selection. You don’t have to purchase titles. You get everything available all at once. Can’t recommend enough.
  • Ridiculous

About a week ago I could listen and read almost any book I wanted to for free for my membership of $16.99/month. Now they’ve turned into Audible and you only can unlock 3 titles on that plan. Now all the audio books and ebooks I were reading can’t be accessed. I will not be renewing my membership. I don’t know what happened, I thought this was better than Audible but nope.
  • Beware of new tiered plan!!

I used to love this audiobook app. Now there are new membership tiers to “unlock” premium titles. Very difficult to figure out which ones are premium. Also, I had saved and even started listening to a handful of books and now all of a sudden these titles are locked. No warning or communication about the business model changes. So frustrating!! They say they have expanded their catalog of books, however I believe Everand has just made it even more limited. Beware!! Most popular titles are locked and unavailable unless you pay more to unlock. Very disappointing! I would much rather have unlimited listening with limited titles. At least I know what to expect. I think I will go back to free library access. Subscribe with caution!! Very slimy business model.

Ever since Scribd, now Everand, I have been begging the developers for a robust search, to no avail. There’s a good mix of new and old content, including out-of-print titles (which is great thing if you’re doing certain kinds of research and don’t have access to specialized libraries), but finding what you need is frustrating and often impossible. There you are, browsing titles in medieval studies, say, when you start getting bodice rippers set in Renaissance castles, because the search is really primitive, with no filters. I’m also still peeved that there’s no support for those of us who can’t constantly upgrade their phones. I’m on the last available update for my phone, and won’t be upgrading for several months, so no audiobooks until then! And then there’s the issue of questionable uploads of copyrighted content. Who’s monitoring this? How many authors are getting ripped off by unscrupulous users?

I have used scribd for the last 5 years. I have loved it until recently. I have chosen not to update my subscription to a new plan, and ever since I am have been unable to listen to my books on my saved list. It always loads to an error message and loads and loads when I try to see more detail about a book. I am pretty devastated about the new updates. I will be unsubscribing. Money is more important than the happiness of customers.
  • Rarely write a review, but I’m sad I have to leave this app.

I use to read on scrib then the added Everand . The scrib has gotten worse, hard to find actual books and not just some trash someone published. I loved Everand because it was a better alternative to scrib even tho I use it still but not as much as before. They recently increased the price of there monthly subscription which I didn’t mind that much but they limiting my to only 3 books .3 books a month yeah ridiculous. I’m sad I have to leave this app as I was enjoying it . But all good things must come to an end. Know I have to find an alternative and transfer my reading list to a new ebook subscription. I’m a reader so the audio book have no use for me.
