    I was a happy/satisfied Scribed user for a few years before being acquired by Everand. Everand immediately shifted all users to their APP and I started having problems. On startup the Everand app try’s to establish a connection presumably to verify subscription status. When on the trail or otherwise out of wifi/cellular range the App fails to load. Even content I have already downloaded to my phone is unavailable without a connection. My primary use case is listening while hiking, camping, fishing, etc. making the app all but useless to me.

    Used to be my favorite app for reading and listening to books, now you get only one book a month, which costs as much as a book in a store. Will definitely be looking for a different app and getting rid of this

    As a subscriber for the past 2+ years, I had to pause for financial reasons. I was shocked to see that you cannot access any unlocked books without a subscription. Every other book app has that feature. I'd rather give my money to Besos, and that's saying a lot.

    I’ve loved Everand for a while now however the unlock feature they have now lets you read the main titles you want to read ONLY if you pay for the higher subscription AND even then you only get 3 unlocks a month. At this point it really isn’t worth the money you will pay.

    I used to rave about how much better this app was than Audible and now it’s worse than Audible. It went from allowing access to a full library to only letting you unlock 1 title a month. This is an entirely different app to me now and I’m not a fan anymore. Every update they make does the opposite of its intended purpose; it just makes the app worse. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it. I don’t know what the developers are doing but the app is also really glitchy and it’s 2025. There is no excuse in having such low quality software. It also asked me to updated my subscription and when I did it charged me twice. I emailed them and they couldn’t give me a refund and now I have to contact Apple for their technological incapabilities. Do better. People downloaded this app because it was good. Make it good again.

    I don’t like how you have to have a subscription to listen to your unlocked material. Audible you can listen without a subscription.

    Apparently they didn’t like my previous review so they removed it. Well this will be worse. If you pause or cancel your membership you can’t listen to titles you’ve “unlocked” even tho you PAID to use the service and PAID to listen…if you pause for any reason you have no access to anything. I wasted so much money on this app and I’m disgusted.

    After paying to unlock a title if you choose to cancel your monthly subscription (even early before it renews) you immediately lose access to everything you have purchased before. A complete waste of money…
