    TL;DR If you cancel your subscription, you no longer have access to the books you unlocked. Would not recommend. I loved this app. I loved that I got three credits a month and was able to unlock and listen to three books a month. I didn’t mind that the price was a buck or two more than amazon’s Audible. However, I canceled my subscription because I needed to allocate my funds to something else for a little while. Because of this I no longer have access to all of the books I unlocked. I was midway through a book and can no longer listen/finish it unless I have an active subscription. Amazon might suck by only giving you one credit a month, but at least that book is yours and you can listen to it even if you cancel your subscription. I would not recommend for this alone. Maybe I’ll rejoin if they change this.

    I used to really enjoy this app as I am an avid audiobook listener. I used to love this app but now I have to unlock titles and pay more for titles that I used to get included with he subscription. Not only that, but I have connections issues on a regular basis. Not worth the money anymore.

    Have been trying to cancel or change my subscription and it’s like I was scammed - I’m apparently locked in for life… don’t waste your $$ on this… nothing rolls over… if you don’t read you lose out and then when you try to cancel you can’t log in. I keep trying to but the code isn’t sent until 15 minutes later to my email which then makes it invalid. And when it does work it logs me into my app which tells me to use the App Store to cancel my subscription.

    Everand had some issues with processing subscription upgrades through the App Store and I initially was upset, however, their customer service team was helpful in resolving the issue and offered me a month subscription as a concession. The app itself is great for avid readers and audiobook listeners.

    Can’t even access books in my library because you decided to change the policy and restricted the number of books we can access. Shady business. Shady.

    It’s rental based. The subscription allows you to borrow, not own. Spending money to unlock books does NOT give you access to them if you decide to cancel at any point. For the price, no. Absolutely not. Just one more step towards lack of ownership. Word of advice, get Hoopla through a library. Exact same concept, and you don’t have to spend a penny.

    I was never able to use ever and but I was billed twice. I never received any resolution despite contacting support multiple times. This was the worst app and experience ever. Be cautious as they like to bill you but not give services and supper won’t help you.

    Waste of money! Do not subscribe! You pay more a month than audible to “borrow” a book. Nothing is free even though they say they have a “free” library. I have been a user for years and I’m so so so disappointed . Absolutely not worth it.

    Pros: It’s a great and app and all getting 3 credits is awesome. There’s a lot of titles and I really like it. Cons: THE CREDITS DONT FREAKING ROLLOVER SO IF YOU DONT REALIZE THAT USE THEM IMMEDIATELY OR YOU GET SCREWED ON A MONTH! I wasn’t happy about it. And you lose the titles you paid for when you don’t resubscribe! I basically lost all the ones I paid for.

  • Lost a loyal customer -beware

    I was a scribd customer. When they changed, I wanted to stay even though you got WAY less bang for your buck with Everand. I couldn’t upgrade and emails and called customer service multiple times. Finally, I was told to cancel and renew and was assured I would keep the catalogue of books I had paid for over years and years. I didn’t not and I lost everything. I’m devastated, disappointed and furious. Beware- all of the good reviews are from years ago before they changed. It is false advertising
