I would suggest adding Bz monitor with the solar wind speed and density. Without that crucial information, you are missing out on true forecasting. Negative (southward Bz) is what breaks through the magnetosphere creating auroras in the first place.
  • Not great

This app told me there was zero chance of seeing the aurora in my area, but people further south than my location were seeing it. I went outside and was able to see it. The city lights impeded my view some, so the colors weren’t very dark, but I could definitely see it and even got pictures of it. If I had relied on this app I never would have seen it.

The app said there was 0% probability of seeing the aurora borealis at my location in Iowa on Thursday night. I took this information as true and later learned that the aurora borealis was easily visible in my area and as spectacular as it has ever been in this area. The app failed me.
  • Why? is it a glitch?

It constantly said I had 0% chance of seeing the Aurora even when the aurora was bright overhead for hours! The email part doesn’t work as expected either. It was so bad I cancelled my 7 day trail only 12 hours in.
  • 0% of seeing Aurora in my area???
