  • I love it but one thing

My main reason for downloading the app was for the multiple versions search in the passage search. That’s not an option on the app. I hope this is something they can port over. It makes it so easier through the website. I just wanted to have the convenience of an app. Other than that this is a great app that helps me through a lot of my bible studying.
  • The Ads!

I understand the need to generate revenue, but the inordinate amount of time these ads remain on the screen, without the ability to access the Bible—combined with the forced inability to close the ads for such an extended period—is shameful. Absolutely shameful. I deleted the app. This approach is counterproductive—because it makes me NOT want to purchase anything being advertised.
  • Multi-version Bible app, with ads

I have enjoyed this app for many years, and I chose it because it [used to be] the Word straight forward. Lately, I’ve noticed a full screen ad that I have to wait for before I can open and navigate the app. This app has so many versions, some I’ve never hear before. I also enjoy the audio version of some versions, so I can listen to the Bible while I close my eyes and pray, or while I’m on a long driving trip. I wish the ads would allow me to focus on the Word and not on commercial pleas for money.
  • A BIBLE APP Should NOT Have Full-Screen Ads!!! *EVER*!!!

I use the Bible Gateway website almost daily, and I guess I never knew if the website was ad-heavy (and still don’t know) as I use AdGuard Pro. But I decided to download their app again, after deleting it years ago, and the SECOND I open the app, a HUGE full-screen ad. I didn’t even get to touch anything! A banner ad at the top or bottom is fine, but this is just UNACCEPTABLE. I immediately deleted the app again, and I am going to be finding a new online Bible website, as well.
  • Adds Ruined my experience

I’ve been using this Bible app for at least 7 years now. I always loved the easy search and many translations but recently adds started interrupting my reading and completely ruining the moments I set aside to meditate on the word of God. These pop up adds drove me to delete the app after many years of avid use. What a shame.

The app even though I paid will always go to the free version (advertising) And it is unnecessarily complicated
  • App useless to me. Love the website though

I use the web version on my computer quite a lot and love it! Not so for the app. I’ve tried countless times through numerous updates; however, the Bible NEVER opens for me on my iPhone. Like I said…. Useless to me. 😔
  • Immediate Prolonged ADs

Not even 5 seconds upon starting the app is when prolonged apps come on. It takes at least two minutes for most ads to finally have the exit button. Most of them has a button that appears that it is the exit, but that button leads to my app account, prying me to download its service.
  • Ads in The Bible?!

I was shocked when I launched the app and then tapped to read the Bible and before I could select any passage, my screen was taken over with a full screen advertisement. All I was wanting to do was read the Bible. Jesus flipped over the tables when there were people making money in the temple. If that was inappropriate, how is it appropriate when someone is trying to read the Bible to have an adverse come up at them?
  • Advertising has killed this app for me

This used to be my go to app, but as soon as they started advertising, which completely hinders any use of this application for me. I’m sorry to say goodbye to it, since it has long been my favorite until they started this confusing advertising that there’s not even an easy button to close the advertising.
