It’s almost like MLB only is concerned with making money and they’ve let greed control themselves

I’ve been trying to find tickets for a single game against a rival team and have circled back and around when I just want to know if seats are available where I want to sit.

I have never had to struggle so hard to buy a damn ticket to a game on any other app. This is beyond maddening.

Stop asking me to turn on notifications every time I log in.

MLB has managed in just 4+ years to take the best professional sports app of them all and turn it into a creeping slow, seemingly infinite pileup of crashes, false start pages, old content, jammed pages, unreadable fonts, and, of course, intrusive ads. What did you do, put John Henry in charge? Way to go MLB!
  • I’ll notify you…

I’ve had this app forever, since it was called the “mlb.com” app. In those 15+ years, I think, I’ve only once allowed notifications. It was early on, and it spoiled a game I was taping that turned out to be a no-hitter. Since then, no notifications. And the app was okay with that. For more than a decade. Updates, or occasional reloads, I’d have to redo that setting, but that’s normal. In the past few days, however, I can’t open a single article without being prompted to turn on notifications. And the most galling thing is that the message in the prompt says, “You can turn off notifications at any time.” Can I?! Because A) seems like you reeeeally need me to turn them on, and B) a banner to shoo away in every article IS a notification. It’s a notification that I don’t have notifications turned on. Please cease and desist with this obnoxious behavior! I love so much of what I get from the app. It’s got decent features, all the broadcasts (save for your team’s, of course), and a stable of very talented writers. (I’d gladly pay every year just for Sarah Langs.) Please don’t push me off of it by trying to change my behavior to suit you better. The league is starting to show its real disdain for its fans, and this is another shocking example.
