Was a subscriber since early 2017. This app went too far into Identity politics. I have been actively avoiding the current day news because it gives me anxiety and now my mediations tell me how privileged I am. Truly was a great app back when it was simpler and focused solely on mediation.

Such a simple way to practice calming the mind. As someone with ADHD it’s always been a challenge. This app has been so helpful with easy daily practice!
  • I love this app but what???!

AI in the middle on the task bar? Really???? Come on. I actually like the ebb AI, but to have it be front a center, always highlighted on the task bar…. My honest advice from someone who’s been using the app since 2019 would be to simplify, not make it more convoluted. Ai is a companion, not a replacement, and should not be considered to be the main feature of your app. Let it be there as something on the side, but geez headspace you’ve lost touch with what made you so beautiful. Simplicity. Being in the moment. Being there for the people you love. Being with and loving yourself. Your meditations are what do this. With this maneuver of UI renovation, it just makes you seem more and more cooperate and less and less human. I rest my case. I love the app, but got the good parts are just getting buried under terrible UI/UX design, and gimmicks. I hope you heed this I really do love the app, just really REALLY consider this change and what it is underlying saying. 1.make ai a companion, not the center, and have the design reflect this sentiment 2. Reorganize meditations for ease of finding, renovate favoriting function. You got this headspace, I really do care about you.

I signed up for the free trial on May 15th. On May 15th, my credit card was charged for a one year subscription. $75 on an app I just wanted to try once or twice! Be careful downloading this one….

I know meditation can help me, but I need concrete ways to learn how to do it. It’s great!

Revised: May 23, 2023 I’m at 1588 days; 37,323 min; 2235 sessions; 17 min average session. Today the marketing department added another distraction: Eb; what’s wrong with these folks? Wasn’t Care going over the edge? This app is NOT mindful!!! I wish the marketing team would take the time to listen, just: Stop and Listen, to the words of the founding team. No, you are not adding positive elements, it’s only addition distractions. Maybe, they just shouldn’t work for this app? That’s my only thought on this; it’s the right person for the right job. If you drive people away, you will not have business. It’s easier to keep your existing customers, than gain a new customer. Think about that. If someone is coming here to find peace; it’s not happening. The app does appear more unified in color. I think the team that does the Wake-Up tab, needs to think more; listen to the Daily, co-ordinate something appropriate; do not put negative thoughts on the opening page; it’s becoming worse. Stop over dubbing; nothing is gained by that thoughtless action. This morning I listened to the Daily, I could hear the birds as the sun was rising. I’ve learned so much from Andy. I did feel intense emotions and I accepted the fact that I won’t be here next year because this place has one even more plum shaped. Thanks, Andy! Revised: June 2024 I have experienced over 29,000 minutes with this app, with 1,222 days. The app continues to be junky and older content is not easy to find; I still think, and feel, users were better off when Rich and Andy were here. All of the content is by subscription only; their original mission is lost. Tech support offers mindless solutions and blames my phone, first, rather than checking to see if something is broken. I want to rate this higher because Andy makes meditation accessible; I look forward to my sessions; I consistently return everyday, but the app is a mess. I hate the new voice overdubbing of older animations with Andy’s voice. It’s a real letdown to play a video on the start page, only to have a new voice reading a script to something I saw before, and I wanted to experience again. Overdubbing is always tacky and a disappointment. Previous: I have experienced over 1100 meditation sessions on this app; ideally, I use it twice a day. My reason for being here, is to mediate. The app does contain incredible sessions and the meditation process does work. Previous editions of this app had a different intention and overall appearance, before Headspace merged with Ginger, before Andy and Rich stepped away, before, it became Headspace Health. The current intent of the app is beyond meditation, so it’s marketed and organized, in that way. On organization, this app was more direct and efficient at the beginning of 2022, that is, if you want to go beyond the first opening page. It takes more scrolling and searching to find previous content, than it did in February 2022. I find all of this to be chaos. Given the price of this app it should be less confusing. The app pushes diversity to connect the universal experience of meditation; if you want a sampling of instructors, you can find that under beginning meditation. If you have been meditating with Andy Puddicombe, his name is not listed in the same way. Right now, I have chosen to stay with Andy, I supplement that with other content beyond this app. The Netflix series, Guide to Meditation, my first Headspace experience, was beautifully created; I was in awe of the innovative visualizations. I highly applaud Netflix for talking the risk to visually tackle this topic. I loved the Netflix imagery and felt instantly at ease with Andy, as my guide. I accepted this figurative animation as my mentor; I never though about his race or gender. On Headspace, Netflix: Bravo!!! I have watched Andy Puddicombe’s TedTalk, and have read his book. I’ve listened to online videos of his thoughts, as well. I do like the pace and format of his meditation style; he is easy to understand, and speaks clearly in English; I mention only this because online meditations from other non-western countries are often, not crisp, and I miss words. Andy is both straightforward and empathetic, compassionate and disciplined; he comprehends difficult emotions and is articulate. Andy has a natural gift for training, to communicate, and, for having patience. He understands this amazing balance between the mind and body. It’s a tightrope act and following him, as a guide, helps me to stay on focus. The ability to speak this see-saw, between thinking and feeling, between the mind and body, between opposing forces, is a gift. His gift. I do think so highly of Andy, I have chosen to have him as my Headspace mentor; his meditations are a 10+, on a scale of 1-5. The effect and peace of mind/body is worth the app price, but this place is a disaster. It contains too many links, to the same content. I think the idea is to cover more bases, to collect and direct more users, more emotions, to similar experience, but the end result is only more time lost searching in confusion. This app needs to tighten up all the extra links, to be mindful of our time spent scrolling.
  • Really special app

The app has evolved and grown so much since I started using it! There are many new features, exercises, teachers etc, so much of which I still have not explored. But what I can say is even in its oldest most stripped down form this app played a huge role in completely changing my life and the start of a healthier, happier, kinder path that I continue on to this day. I tried learning meditation several times before but Andy’s advice and guided meditations were what made it accessible to me. I will forever be grateful to him and to everyone involved in this amazing app

It's a challenge to figure out what this program offers. I am trying it in an effort to improve my health. I can not state its success yet nor its failure.
  • It helps.

Elder Millennial man reporting. Mindfulness and meditation have been marketed to me by the wrong groups and organizations and it’s always turned me off as it’s come from a place of “I’m so good because I do this.” When I started dubbing around with Mindpsace years ago, I noticed some difference, but life got busy. Now, after dealing with some significant new knowledge related to my brain, ADHD, and dopamine addiction, practicing mindfulness with guided meditations has really allowed for me to talk myself off of emotional cliffs. Chill my anxiety out. Let me process things with less judgement. I appreciate that peace that Mindspace has helped me find over the last month or so and I can’t wait to continue using it.
