  • Won’t actually send files!

Whenever I try to send or save a file anywhere on iOS, it will only send links to the file. No way to actually get the file itself unless you use a computer. Useless.

It all of a sudden said there’s a problem with my account and told me to log in again so I did. But then when I got back in the app, all the photos and videos I had saved in there disappeared. I contacted the support team TWICE but they said they cannot give me my data back. Apparently the problem was that it was carrying more files than my subscription covered. But it’s not like I cannot control that either bc it just keeps downloading photos I have on my phone. Just what the heck. Give me my data back.
  • GIFs do not work

The new update broke gifs and you can no longer pinch to zoom out and make the gallery smaller. Always breaking things that didn't need fixing.

This morning i could take a photo in the onedrive app and save it to a drive without ever having to save it to my phones camera roll. This afternoon the only way to do this seems to be by using the scan function, which formats the photo as a scan, changing its dimensions. RIP my personal camera roll.
  • SharePoint Libraries

SharePoint libraries are COMPLETELY BROKEN and have been for months now! This is unreal how disfunctional this app is. It's impossible to reliably upload files into the correct directory. I open a ticket after every update and it's still broken! Honestly all uploads are completely broken and fail to go into the correct folder, even in my personal company drive.

Constantly logs you out, and corrupts files. I’m looking for a cloud based storage that actually works for my tech company.
  • What is wrong with the search function?

Seems like I still have a common issue that appears when you search on the app and it doesn’t find the files. However you can find them manually.

UPDATE: The most recent update from MSFT resolved the synch issue. I’m back to loving this app!! I really rely on it across all my ecosystems and it is so useful and easy to use. My files are available no matter what device/OS I’m looking at.

Update 6/15/25 Microsoft Support did contact me. Unfortunately while their suggested solution did initially resolve the problem, the very next time I used iOS Files app to move some files from local storage onto OneDrive, the files get stuck in some sort of no-man’s land. They show in my OneDrive folder on my iPhone but not on my PC nor in the cloud. I then reuploaded the files using the ‘share’ (square with an arrow coming out of the top) option in iOS files, and that immediately made the files visible on my PC and the OneDrive cloud. However I now have two copies of these files in my iOS OneDrive Folder. New version of the app might look ‘cute’ but it does not work reliably. I had zero problems using the prior version. Since the new version was released, I have experienced all my files vanishing, files not opening due to ‘error 5’, and now, a bunch of file changes not syncing to the cloud.
