I use this app for everything. All of my files and pictures are stored on it so I never lose anything. It’s easy to use and keep things handy when you need them and best of all you never lose anything.
  • App crashes immediately

Even with the latest update this app is diabolically garbage. Upon opening the app it instantly crashes and closes. Don’t get me wrong I’ve been a long supporter of this app and it usually works great. However, they definitely have a lot of work to do to get this app functioning again. Disappointing.

Update: Since I wrote the original review, they have seemingly since fixed all the issues I highlighted in the review. The app works great, and while I’m not a massive fan of the new look, it’s nice to see that everything is back to how it used to be. The old review is still below for your reading enjoyment. :) (TL;DR at the end) I've used this app pretty much every day for the past two years, and it worked great. I used it for organizing my Word Docs, PowerPoints, and Excel Sheets, but primarily to make PDFs out of physical papers. Recently, I opened the app to convert a paper into a PDF, and noticed immediately that the menu was slightly different: There used to be options between taking photos of a document, business card, whiteboard, or just a plain photo. This didn’t bother me immediately because I figured they were basically the same and honestly didn’t use any of them except for the document option. After I took my first picture of a two page document, I noticed the menu was different there too. However this wasn’t a bad change, because it actually seemed much more intuitive and looked better overall. But it was when I went to edit my photos in the PDF that I noticed the major issue of this update: 5 of the previous 8 options suddenly vanished. Previously, the editing options included: Add, Reorder, Filters, Ink, Crop, Text, Rotate, and Delete. But now, there are only THREE options: Reorder, Add, and Filters. I can understand not needing a few of these options, but seriously Microsoft, if I accidentally take a photo of something unrelated, I now have to start over and delete my other photos as well? This new update seriously saw Microsoft delete the majority of their photo editing options. My only question is simply why were these very useful options removed? Were this five buttons costing Microsoft millions upon millions of dollars every year to maintain? Did Microsoft have a personal vendetta about these options? My only hope is that they bring back these options in a VERY near update. TL;DR: Microsoft removed some very useful options from their app in order to be more streamlined, and made the app worse in the process.

My ex’s lawyer continuously hacks my OneDrive account to corrupt my files in the cloud then uses the syncing capability to ruin the files on my desktop. Prove me wrong.

After the last update, the function of turning the flash on and off when scanning a document disappeared. Everything became much simpler. It became completely inconvenient to scan documents without a flash. It is a pity that the update of the application becomes its degradation.
  • Scan options NERFED

Microsoft nerfed the scan to file functionality in early NOVEMBER. You can no longer redo the crop, rotate, or edit the image. Further once you add a new scan you can only reorder the images. You can no longer delete an image in a multiple page scan. I’m very disappointed and miss the old feature set.

Suddenly I can’t select what type of picture or scan I want to take, like business card, document, photo. It defaults to PDF only. I need the option back for photos
