  • Won't Sync with Watch

Since the last update, the app on the phone will no longer sync with the watch. Whatever you changed needs to change back.
  • Update ruined a nearly perfect workout tracking app

The previous iteration of Strong was nearly perfect and credit to the team for making the best lifting tracking app on iOS. Most recent update made interfaces worse, made it impossible to start a workout on the iPhone if wanting to sync to the Apple Watch, and overall changed too many things from what was working before. Probably still works well if you’re using iPhone only but the interface is still too different now from how it had been the last 5 or so years. Why change what worked well?
  • New updated ruined it on Apple Watch

I loved the app prior to the new update about a month or so ago but the new update has made the UI so unintuitive. I really miss how it was (I’ve given it a while and still don’t like it). Still better than most apps but it was perfect before
  • Bad Update

Defaulting to “complete unfinished sets” is so annoying. It’s a workout logging app, I’m checking off as I go. Also the new default rest timers - you could already turn on rest timers, why do I now have to delete them from every lift. And stop asking if I want to revise the template to the current workout. I’ll do that on the home page if I wanted to.
  • Problem with Syncing

I love this app, being using it since 2022 and I won’t stop however I’m giving 4 stars because for a couple of months now, every week, out of the 4 sessions I do, only 2-3 gets synced from my watch to my phone. When I try to do manual syncing, it will say “server not found” it’s actually frustrating because this means I lose quite a number of my workout history. Please fix this, thanks.
  • Update broke watch sync

Ever since the last update syncing to my Apple Watch hasn’t worked and will never store the same workout between the two devices
  • Updates made things worse

Previous updates had connection issues but now everything is broken. Workouts have to start on the Apple Watch which is clunky. Then you have to sync it to the phone. It use to be, start on one and the other automatically starts. When done, Workouts aren’t being recorded or it’s only recording partial workouts. Appreciate the ability to set warm up and work set timers.

I’ve been using this app for the last four years and I’ve really loved it. I was extremely surprised to see that with the new version that came out it got even better. The new Apple Watch app is an absolutely perfect companion to the iPhone and makes the experience even better

A recent update has changed a lot of the interface, is annoying building in a rest time by default that I never selected, and is no longer logging workouts due to some issue with syncing with my watch. I feel like the update was made too quickly and features are broken and missing now.
  • Perfect with one bug

I have used this for around four years and it has helped me reach my training goals; I love it. There is one “bug” — it is easy to leave a workout going forever. It would be great if they were to automatically end after (say) 6 hours or a user configurable amount, so that when I open the app the next day I don’t see yesterday’s workout.
