Please keep the app and trackers as is. Don’t change anything.
  • Not good for RUN tracking

I was trying to use my Fitbit to track my runs but every time I would increase my speed, the Fitbit would track fewer miles on the same route rather than a faster speed. It is tracking me based on what it thinks my stride is rather than the gps so I’m switching to Strava only which tracks based on maps with set locations. As I increase my speed and improve fitness my stride will continue to vary. The Fitbit will never be able to register my speed increases if it just thinks I’m doing fewer miles to the point where I ran an 8:30 mile and it registered as 11:10.
  • Potentially dangerous Cardio Load recommendations

The app assumes everyone is using Fitbit to maximize their cardio fitness and has started giving daily advice on how much to increase or decrease cardio load that day. You can X out of eavh alert to free up screen space, but cannot opt out of receiving them. While they may be welcomed by some users, following the advice could be dangerous for others. Some of us have heart conditions that would put us in jeopardy if we followed the advice. I was recently violently ill with food poisoning and received kudos for my high heart rate while throwing up for hours. Imagine the impact of this type of positive reinforcement for individuals with eating disorders or seeking alternate ways to get high cardio load scores. There is no need to remove this ‘feature’ for those who are doing cardio training, but it’s important that we have the option to disable this metric if we know it is physically or psychologically dangerous for us.
  • It doesn’t update steps consistently.

It doesn’t update steps consistently. I have to keep force-quitting and reopening the app for the step count to be accurate. Now I’m getting an error message “Can't sync without internet.”

Sleep reports used to show every hour. Now you hav to guess between the tick marks.

I love my Fitbit! I’ve just lost 15 lbs and my fat percentage is down from 24.5 to 17.5! This is not the first time I’ve lost weight by relying on the numbers. Any other way is just guessing what’s going to work and this is an unbeatable formula for success!

I am so over the daily issues of having to restart my Fitbit and it not counting my steps. Years ago the Fitbit was great since google took it over it has been nothing but issues.
