Purchase Mac Book Pro Jan 2025 and have never been able to use any Microsoft Office applications without continual resets.
  • Power Point Sucks

Power Point is so unintuitive and overcomplicated. It sucks to use. I use Apple Keynote. It’s so simple and clean.
  • Why do I bother - it’s Microsoft - still ancient and buggy

Although Powerpoint has improved from really mediocre and rigid, it’s still not great. It’s expensive, doesn’t allow a lot of versatility and is so eager to throw templates at me that I never get the sense that the product was made for the user - rather it’s still made for Microsoft’s convenience not the users. The fact that it is backward compatible about 30 years makes it clunky and old. If you have Apple, use Keynote. If you don’t, Canva is a much more flexible format.

PLEASE fix the animation pane on mac. literally everything else is wonderful except for the animation pane, why do i have to just guess the timing and keep playing it instead of the animation pane showing me how far apart each animation is. i can’t even see the time an animation starts or ends if i hover my cursor over it. its just such a pain to work with, please fix this i beg of you

Really enjoyed using PowerPoint, I’m old and it’s been a while since I had to put together slides for a presentation and it seemed easier than ever. I particularly liked the features that can change the whole theme of the presentation and all slides at once to something relevant that was suggested. Overall looked great and was easy compared to what we used to have to do.
  • Disappointing

It crashes, doesn’t take prompts correctly… very disappointing.
  • Why make everything different for the Mac?

I wish they would just keep the same shortcut keys consistent between PCs and Mac. CTRL-M instead of opening a new slide, closes the file you’re on. Few of the templates are easily accessible. Using this vs. what I use at work on a PC is night and day.
