  • Old is better

The older version layout is cleaner and better to use. The latest updated Snapseed is terrible and harder to used. I’ve been using Snapseed since its launch until recently they updated it and I thought I might need to delete the app and find another one to replace it. Bad move with the updated look.
  • A Great App Completely Ruined by Google

I've been using the iPad version of Nik Software's Snapseed since 2012. It was the perfect image editor, fast and easy to use, with stunningly beautiful results...until Google finally decided to "update" and completely ruined it. The controls are hard to work with, especially when precise edits are needed, the layout and naming of the tools is now mystifying and it takes at least twice as much time to edit my work, now.
  • Terrible new UI

The new UI is very inefficient. The workflow used to be so intuitive, and now this new layout makes everything harder to edit. Useful features are buried and require more clicks to get to, the adjustment sliders are confusing (now when you slide right, the value decreases but when you slide left the value increases? it’s counterintuitive), and everything feels clunkier. Also, cropping an image is harder now, especially when the image has a white background as the cropping lines are also white. The ease-of-use of this app has significantly gone down for me. Please consider going back to the old UI or compromising on the new “flashy” features vs. ease-of-use.
  • Currently update is horrendous

The current update it terrible. It took a reliable, intuitive app that no professional photographers like myself have been using for years to elevate photos and made it virtually unusable. Simple functions like rotating a photo 90 degrees appear to be gone and other straight forward editing functions have been hidden to allow for gimmicky artificial appearing filter. Unfortunately despite relying on this app for 10+years. I will be looking elsewhere. Bummer.
  • Requires full access to library

I can’t get past the limited settings after selecting only 2 pics in my library. App is stuck at this option. Snapseed seems to require full access, for which I don’t see any need.
  • Worst update

This app recently updated its layout and options. It’s really awful now and it took away a lot of great editing tools. Please return it to the previous layout and options. The new one is awful

  • Used to be good…

I loved the app until the recent update. Moving buttons around and and changing their location does nothing but complicate the software.
  • New Update is Trash!

I have used Snapseed for over 5 years, and it’s always been my go to photo editing app on the go for quick edits… but now it’s trash. The new interface is more complicated and not near as clean and simple as the old app, but I could get over that. The main issue is the saved images are nothing like what I edited! Brush tool edits are moved around to affect different areas, color is off, details are no where near as good… and worst of all, once you save the edit, you have to start over! I love the old version where you could export as you edit to be able to save various stages of the edit. Even then, I could make that work of the rendering of the final edit was good,.. but it’s trash! Totally useless. The iPhone photo editing tool is WAY better now, and I hate it. Thanks Snapseed!

The new 3.0.3 update is awful. It’s not intuitive, difficult to use, has less features and poorly laid out and performs poorly. The developers took a once great app and ruined it. The old version was far superior. If you are looking for a photo editing app then look elsewhere, the new Snapseed app is a real disappointment.
