  • App is broken in several areas and there is no support

    1st thing I noticed was Picture in Picture not work, from what I can find it hasn’t worked in over 9 months. So I try use plex from safari and pip is great and works for awhile then gets s3019 (media) error and won’t play movie / episodes. I spend over 6 hours trying to find solutions and nothing seems to work. In the settings it doesn’t remove sessions on logout for device and I delete those logout both places, it requires 2 logins for play on demand things. Clear cache and website data reboot reset internet (I have 1gb fiber and 1ms response max 50ms in use exceptional line), you do this over and over and eventually sometimes after 20 minutes you can continue your watching. Then after few episodes it breaks again. There is no way to contact support/ it even says in the website that there is no e-mail support. There is a plex forum but no one is there to solve anything. Looks like some community ppl help each other some but no help from devs far as I can tell, a lot of on going issues unresolved where community tries to find hacks or workarounds. I got 0 responses to my ask for help in 48hrs where others are getting response pretty fast. Very horrible experience, so many other amazing streaming services out there. And they all,have active support with e-mail and/or in app support. Best to avoid this one

    There’s a ton of free movies, that’s nice and all. But it is so laggy I cannot even watch a single movie with out a tremendous amount of lagging. I just wanted to watch a movie, and there’s a ton of lagging. And I know it’s not my device. The website is fine, and then when I went on this app the movie I watched on the web wasn’t there, and the web is excessively glitchier than the app. It’s very hard to use and another time I watched a movie I could not even watch the end, mainly because the web/app was busy lagging. Can’t go ten minutes without the app/web just LAGGING. Overall, hard to use.

  • App keeps freezing my iPhone

    Got plex earlier this year and have loved it. But in December, it started freezing my iPhone whenever I try to swipe out of the app. The entire iPhone will freeze for 2-5 minutes. This has been going on for weeks.

    I loved plex until they started implementing subscriptions to view my own content remotely. Looking for other options as we speak. Oh, the Roku UI is TERRIBLE!!

    The newest updates are worthless to me. I specifically used to use the Plex IOS app to create multiple playlists to watch on my TV with different friends. I can no longer add movies to the playlists from my iPhone. Neither can I add them from my Plex TV app. I now have to go to my computer (which I rarely use because it is a dedicated Plex server). I’m just about fed up with Plex altogether!

    Well, I guess I’m done with Plex. I’m happy to watch their movies with ads if that’s how they fund it, but I got this literally just to stream movies from my desktop hard drive to my TV. It wasn’t exactly easy to use for anything else anyway but now they want to charge me $3 a month just to watch my own videos?! Moving on.
