    Laura Fessenden is moody and becomes angered easily. She will remove people’s names from the group or event if she is having one of her spells. I had offered to host our New Year’s Eve event and we both agreed the event would be hosted at my home. I have already purchased: non perishable food items, six bottles of champagne, champagne toasting flutes, two different sized plates and napkins, plastic cutlery and serve ware. Party hats, noise makers, balloons. Games and more. She became upset one night after having a few too many drinks then canceled me as the hostess. Then selected her home as the site for the party Is there any recourse? In addition to her moving me from hosting and attending to not hosting and not attending.I did not authorize these changes. It also appears as if she has shut off my ability to send and receive messages. This change that was made has affected all of my groups and I did not authorize it and I’m unable to fix it to resolve it in settings. We had had several members complain about her rude behavior prior to the pandemic.What type of assistance do you provide during these types of situations? Is there a way where someone can call me?How do you normally contact someone when they have a concern as this? Thank you for your time Renee Marie (615)736-1374

    For an app that is x years old and has millions of downloads, it’s quite surprising that the company has a hard time hiring competent UX people. You update your profile and then it resets, navigation is clunky, you have to correctly insert or type social media links instead of it auto formatting it for you, the chat feature doesn’t work in real time, the more groups you join, the more cluttered your notification tray regardless if there has been absolutely no interaction with that group in a long time. Hate the app and wouldn’t recommend it. Only use it because some of the groups I’m a part of use the app.

    Add options to filter events for certain dates. This is one of the most glitchy apps I’ve ever used. I click on a group it never loads go back to the pervious page and it loads nothing and gives an error.

    It keeps saying I need to add a profile pic to join groups. I added the picture multiple times & it still keeps saying that.

    I’ve been using meetup regularly for a decade. It’s a terrible app, missing most of the most obvious features and sorting mechanisms, despite dominating volume in its area. But now the iPhone app is completely useless. I can’t find myself, my events, anything. I can try to log in again and again, but the latest iOS build doesn’t understand users, logins, events, calendars… Updating to 3 stars as I discovered the problem was a bad download. When I deleted and reinstalled the app, it worked as usual. I’ll add two more stars when meetup lets me eliminate suggested groups and events that I have no interest in and/or can never qualify for, and also when my searches for hikes in person tomorrow returns tomorrow’s in-person hike with the group I always hike with.

    What the title says. There’s no exit button for their Meetup+ subscription. Every time I restart the app it just shows up again, so the only way to get rid of it is to sign up for a free trial which is incredibly scummy. Waste of storage.
