  • Convenient and secure

I’ve been with Fidelity for a couple of decades now and was blown away at how easy it was to set up 529 education plans for my two children. worried that convenience means less secure, but in this instance, I felt totally safe!
  • The 30 minutes time out is so annoying!!

Why does the app time out every 30 minutes even though I am actively using the app??? It’s so annoying when I tried to make a trade and it timed out. Have to log back in and go through the tedious order placing process again! They took away the beloved card view of watchlist!! Bring back the square card view of the watchlist!!!
  • App text bug

In the investments tab, on the position section, the text above and below the list of positions I hold, is shifted left and partially cut off.

It needs to be easier to setup accounts
  • Software gore

Still getting significant software gore with the last update, orders screen opens with the orders half off the visible part of the screen, options expiry dates making room for dates/events the bar that either don’t exist or don’t fill in so it leaves a blank space and causes features to jump around when navigating from date to date, etc.

The app is a little bit different than the website IMO. No issues with this app, it has a lot of resources for investing.

I LOVE Fidelity. It’s the most user friendly investment app I’ve had so far.
  • Gets worse with every update

Only giving this 2 stars because selling / buying works. This app gets more and more bloated and laggy with every update. New UI changes suck. Have to log in every single time just to check basic information of a stock. I usually end up using the yahoo finance app linked to my fidelity account to see my portfolio progress and more detailed information. the experience and information from yahoo is just better. What a joke of an app this is.
  • Lose money if you use the app

Fidelity investments decided to send me a 60 day notice in the mail to my old address about my 401(k) triggering a rollover. I had about $7000 worth of shares and was left with $2400. Had it been worth $10,000 My shares would not have been able to been sold and put into a rollover IRA. According to fidelity. The second I login into Fidelity investments on Safari the notice comes up. There was no notification on my app. I login every day that I needed to make this transaction or trigger this sell on my shares. So I lost $5000 because of this app and I’m sure there are other people who have lost a lot more. Do not use the app login on Google or any other browsing engine. This app will make you lose money and Fidelity owes me $5000 because of this app. I’m sure they push people to use their app and that cost marketing.
