  • Great app but getting greedy

First of all, this is an excellent app and a must-have for anyone looking to get healthier or lose weight. I don’t appreciate having to pay for things that used to be free. Scanning should not be part of premium and should be free like it used to. Bad look, Underarmour
  • Won’t work unless you pay.

Won’t allow you to scan bar codes unless you pay $80.

I don’t was the premium - I just want to track my food and all I get are ads to upgrade!

I recently had bariatric surgery recently. I have been using this app for years. When I was allowed to eat again the dr didn’t want me to eat more than 900 calories a day. With this app it just keeps saying I’m not eating enough. Please could you have a setting for people who are extremely calorie restricted? That is my only gripe with this app.

I’ve been using this app for over a decade. I have BP and take medication this app helped me manage weight. Now I see all the features I once used cost money… I don’t make a lot of money, I was using this to help improve my life. Manage my mental health and weight. I can’t afford this ridiculous price while maintaining the rest of my life. I’m just disappointed because this app actually helped me at one point. Now I see money is the end all. Update: not once did I complain about the barcode. You didn’t even read my comment… I said I’m disappointed that I have to pay to properly manage my BP diet. If you can’t read my concern and address it properly than this is not an application I’d like to support.

Randomly took free features and made them $20 a month.

Well after being awol for a few years I’m back. And I gotta say not to impressed with the direction in terms of interface. Very cluttered layout, and practically design-less. Of course the scanning and food lists are still way out in front of the competition. 5 stars there. But I don’t know if I’ll be renewing past the trial with this interface. I just want to see my info, not comments from other people or suggestions or non-ad ads. And here’s a big negative at least for me: please add the ability to read water intake from iOS Health. Why is that missing? I’ll keep using it while I look at other apps and if I do decide to purchase it will be by default. I’m sure this app can do better after all these years.
  • Ruined it by the paywall

Everything used to be free but now they locked it away for $20 a month
  • Very disappointed in the free app

    By That’s unfortunate
Used to be able to scan barcodes now you can only do it if you upgrade! That’s not right!
  • Moving on to another app

I’ve used MyFitnessPal for years. These days too many of the features are behind a paywall, and the premium version doesn’t offer enough to be worth the cost. There are ads EVERYWHERE in the free version and it’s lost too much functionality to be worthwhile. I’ll be deleting MyFitnessPal and switching to a different app.
