  • Terrible UI

Meal copying and management is way too convoluted. Try figuring out how to copy meal items to “My Meals” for example. This part of the UI needs an entire revamp.
  • Not particularly intuitive

The learning curve is steep and the constant adds to upgrade to premium are constant…. I’ve used noom before and found in way more user friendly. I’m a momof four and it’s very important that apps like this are easy to pick up immediately use. I have not found that to be the case. I found it incredibly frustrating to try to find the information I’m looking for. Unless you have the time to sit down and watch a tutorial, I doubt you’re going to be able to figure this out in a few minutes and just begin to use it. I’m going to keep giving it a try, but after a few months of trying it on and off, I can’t say I’m very impressed.
  • Cannot Do Without This App!

I have been using MFP for many years, and have lost just under 1/3 of my body weight (235 lbs. to 160 lbs.) I have been through periods during which I did not use the app, only to start putting on a few pounds. I have returned to its use every time to get back on track. You cannot manage what you don’t measure, and this app is the best tool I have found for measuring day-to-day metrics and progress over time. Thanks, MFP!
  • Extra charges

I canceled my subscription before the free trial finished and somehow they still charge me over $100. I need to talk to someone about this, I can’t delete the app information from my iCloud. I need help!

It used to be that at the bottom of the Diary page I could click Complete this Entry and get an estimate of how my weight loss is going. NOW? No more Diary (it’s called Today) and there is no place where one can Complete the day. Or at least I can’t find it. The instructions in “Help” refer to old versions of the app.

MyFitnessPal has been such a huge time saver with my calorie tracking. The barcode scan makes things insanely easy when I don’t have the time to cook. I’ve been steadily losing weight just tracking calories and I owe a lot to this app.

I use this not only for calories but for my carbs cause I’m a type one on a pump and I have to count my carbs. Sometimes I don’t know but this application does. I wish diabetes wasn’t such an expensive disease otherwise I would pay for the full service. Get it. It will help with every aspect of your life.
  • Old user interface was better

I’ve been using MyFitnessPal for years. Functionality is still decent, but the user interface is clumsy and awkward.
