Adding Earnings Reminder to calendar does not work. App crashes when “Add to calendar” is pressed.
  • A Slight step back…

Everything was near perfect until this latest (April ‘24) version - which has messed with the layout, font size (now much smaller) and spacing (too much empty space) and has resulted in unnecessary annoying scrolling. However it still has excellent content and remains one of the better stock tracking apps out there…

Yahoo Finance is one of the APPs that everyone who invests should own and keep for good. It is reliable and timely, very easy to use. I love it!

  • Price alert

I just start using the custom price alert and quite like it. I wish after-hour price is also available. It could be added as a separate column so that the last price column won’t be disturbed. Alternatively there could be an option for users to choose whether after-hour price is displayed and used for comparing to the target prices. Hopefully it’s not that much work to the programmers. Cheers!

This is the pop culture of finance apps. It rarely has insightful articles and C level chat guests.
  • Not crazy about portfolio 2.0

I have really been loving the yahoo Finance app for years now! I especially like the “holdings” tab inside each portfolio list because I can customize as to what properties I want and then can quickly see all the information including market value for everything I have in the list. Portfolio 2.0 does not offer customization and only shows one property. I am not looking forward to upgrading to 2.0 at all.
