  • Version 9.x is improving

    Update to Version 9.06 The app has improved with each version update. With 9.06 the Apple Watch has improved significantly. It provides the information needed and the UI is improved. I commend the developers for working to improve the app and releasing frequent updates. It’s not perfect but is getting better with each version update. Update to Ver 9.0.1 While I applaud the updated UI and graphics, the functionality isn’t very good. Some courses load and display properly. Other courses just display a rendering message for 10 minutes and never finish loading. In those cases the app doesn’t work, making the Premier Membership ill advised. Prior rounds, club distances and stats from years ago have disappeared and I assume will never return. Despite being on the market for a long time, the Ver 9.0 appears rough and in need of refinement and bug fixing. —————- I’ve used just about all of the golf GPS apps for Apple iOS and Apple Watch, including GolfLogix dating back to 2010. I recently purchased an annual subscription and started using GolfLogix for the first time in 3 years. I really like the greens maps and club distance. My only suggestions for improvement is in the area of user interface and stats. The UI looks very dated with the pop up windows for each of the stats, including stats for which the answer is 0. Hole 19 and other GPS apps have a much better UI. The stats are decent, but again other apps present the data in a more pleasing graphical format (Golftec, GHIN and Hole 19). GolfLogix has been around for a long time and is feature rich. A more modern approach to the UI and presentation of stats would earn five stars.

  • Frustrating update

    Slow yardages and data is not consistent with between iPhone and the watch. Tried to use it 4x so far this year. I am not confident in the update. Also, it’s hard to tell what buttons to hit and why are they gray on gray? Do you know how hard it is to see in the sunlight? Plus they are SUPER small. Bad GUI design. Not sure I’ll be using this app anymore going forward after many years. The more simplistic view was much more preferable. At least give an option to choose. If you do anything improve the accuracy and yardage update times and the soft button contrast on your app.

    It is crazy that an app for years that had a great interface, allowing direct entry of penalties, bunkers, chips, etc. should completely remove those features and require additional data entry steps while also trying to golf. Very disappointed and would love to get my money back after using the app for a few seasons.

  • Rules compliant mode gone

    Loved this app, son uses it and plays tournaments but unfortunately they eliminated rules compliant mode and unless they bring that back not legal for tournaments and we will not renew subscription

  • Drains battery before end of round

    This was great now with the upgrade. It is completely worthless. You can’t even finish around without it completely depleting your battery on an iPhone. Deleting the app.

    They broke the app with the new update. Since the new update distances are inaccurate. Yardages change like a slot machine while you’re standing in the same spot. The yardage to the front and the back of the green is often the same. Also many times the yardage from the fairway to the green is often further than an entire length of the hole. I have reported these concerns, but the response I get is we’re working on it. Yet over the last month, nothing has changed. In the meantime, I am paying. My request for a refund has gone unanswered. I guess I need to contact Apple.

    It is silly you need to hit the compass button to refresh the yardage. Even when you do it does not quickly adjust. Loved the app for years but now the new version has made it slow and really annoying to use. Gone back and forth with support and setting are correct and evidently it is what it is with no fixes on the way.

    The new version is awful. Will not load courses. Have deleted and reinstalled many times. Need to delete and reinstall then load next course from home as it won’t pick up at the course. Old version worked everywhere and in lots of countries.

  • Upgrade tanked the app

    Have been a paid subscriber for at least 8 years and have over 400 rounds logged in the app. This latest upgrade, circa March of 25 completely tanked it. Here’s several of the ‘updates’: even two months later you can’t share your scorecard via text or email. To add a player you have to scroll through every single player you ever played with in previous years. It undeleted every single name I’ve ever input and doesn’t give you the option to delete them. Not just 1 instance of the name; if you played with Brian 25 times over the life of using the app, there’s now 25 Brian entries. It doesn’t allow you to just type a name to add to the scorecard either. If you want to add Steve, you type the name but instead of adding it to the scorecard it takes you to the list where you have to scroll through 47 Abby’s, 35 Brian’s, 21 Chris’s, etc. it makes creating your scorecard a tedious process. you used to be able to hide your score from showing up on the main screen at all times - not any more. Want to input your club distances in your virtual bag? Not anymore, you go with what the system dictates. I’ve emailed every one of these to the dev team months ago and get a canned, we are working on it response but nothing changes. I’ll not be renewing my membership.

    GolfLogix 3D GPS is so cool! The 3D view really helps me see the course better and plan my shots. It’s already helping me play smarter and lower my scores!
