    This app has gone downhill extremely quickly. Every two seconds an app pops up, every other second there’s a spambot tapping you from 3k miles away, and did I mention the ads. I understand they want you to pay to get rid of ads, but paying doesn’t get rid of the crazy amount of spam that’s on the platform. It’s terrible.

    Whoever created this new update and change for Grindr should get fired! This app was to meant to help us meet new people and now it’s money hungry for everything… a lot more bugs and BOTS… and the stupid for you previews gots to go!!! It takes up space. This app needs to be organize and neat not messy….

    Why have two different paid subscriptions? Xtra and unlimited... just provide one. I was charged twice when I upgraded from xtra to unlimited. $20 then another $40. Apple won't refund them.

  • Going downhill FAST

    Genuinely impressive how this app seems to get worse and worse every time I redownload it. More and more features are locked behind a pay wall. A large amount of them being basic quality of life elements like message search. Over the last couple years I’ve watched the “grid” of available profiles dwindle as they continue to make any and all methods of filtering unusable. You can only view a laughable amount of people at a time with a staggering amount locked behind the aforementioned paywall that I’ll add is complete, highway robbery. They seem to be intentionally placing profiles that are obviously hot commodities just outside of the free grid, like waving it in your face that they’re just out of reach. Just awful really, the whole experience. Praying on y’all’s down fall, gays we can do a lot better than this like cmon.

  • Bots galore!

    Don’t download unless you wanna spend most your time weeding through all the bots. The app does nothing to prevent the massive rise in bot/Ai profiles(or they may be planting them themselves”. They all read the same or have the same structure. Funny part is most of them are “women” or claiming to be “trans women” and wanting you to hop on their social for more. Same thing with certain cis male profiles (usually have a generic name in the headline and blurry photos). Here’s a tip. If the profile spells social “sociaI” it’s a bot!

  • Banned for no reason after 12yrs+

    I was a loyal customer for 12+ yrs on the same account even paying $40/month until I was device banned and no reason provided. If Grindr upper management is wondering why they are suffering financially it is bc you are banning your loyal patrons. I literally have to get a new iPhone to log back into their network. Reconsider paying or even registering for an account with Grindr.

    This used to be a great app that has been rendered nearly nonfunctional over the last few years as you are inundated with one irritating ad after another, all of which require you to watch for over 30 seconds. I can barely stand to use it anymore. How much money do they need to squeeze out of their customers???

    You get bombarded with ads and every other profileis a spam/bot account unironically all exclusively looking for trans. This app is barely even functional anymore. Careful who you talk to on here.
