  • New update locks channels

New update is horrible. Locked all my play-by-play channels. Wants me go to Sirius xm to manage subscription. Already have platinum subscription and tech people were clueless to the problem. Have had Sirius xm for years but have been very displeased with the apps last 2 updates.
  • Great Product - Worst App Ever!!!

I’ve loved Sirius for years, but since the new app came out I haven’t listened once. My Favorites are gone and random channels are what I see instead. I wanted to hear Stern talk about OJ’s death, but a search yields no results and Howard’s area on this garbage app shows me random clips from 2018, a Barbra Streisand interview, and Gary’s first pitch. This app is unusable and will lead me to cancel my Sirius subscription. Bummer.
  • Garbage app

Why does this app not hold my spot on a podcast or recorded show. I will close app and come back later only to find out it’s now at the beginning again. Also, why does it take forever to start a show that I downloaded. I downloaded it to listen off line but sometimes it won’t allow it to start. Sirius XM app is garbage. I could bootleg shows easier.
  • Horrible

This keeps getting worse with each update. Now it seems like cell signal or WiFi is needed to play downloads. It makes it difficult to listen to podcasts while driving in rural areas. Also, downloaded shows restart from the beginning each time you reopen the app instead of remembering where you left off.
  • This new design will grow on you

After a few weeks with this redesigned app I have grown to like it, a lot. The sound quality has improved significantly. Sirius XM continues to rock on. 👍 I am allergic to commercials, so SXM is the way to go in radio. April 17, 2024: PLEASE STOP PROMOTING T SWIFT! I want to vomit with rage every time I see that talentless boobarella! I get it! She’s the flavor of this quarter of 2024! How long before she gets pregnant and off the 🤬 stage?
  • New app is a total bust!

I just don’t understand why companies feel they have to make changes just to change. The previous XM app was so well organized and intuitive to use. The new format is so poorly designed and frustrating to use that it will be hard to find a reason to renew my 22 year subscription.
  • Not user friendly

The app used to be helpful. Channels lined up correctly. Easy use. Then of course an unnecessary change in how everything is listed AND it constantly crashes. Bravo… Trash. Good thing the content (when you can find it easily) is still worth it.
  • Streaming Quality worse on iOS than Apple TV

My app sounds like the audio quality is normal but the setting is at maximum. On the Apple TV the streaming is noticeably better quality. It seems that the app says the quality is maximum but delivers normal quality in reality.
  • Significant regression

It’s hard to imagine a worse regression of an app that I pay a significant amount to use annually, and I used to love. Let’s peek in at the meeting that preceded this release: Marketing: “We need to appeal to gen z even though gen z doesn’t use the product or have $288 to spend on a streaming service for the car they don’t have, so let’s redesign the logo into something completely unrecognizable.” UX: “hey I have an idea… let’s make the scrubber touch target so small and then add per minute segments for a 3 hour show so that it’s totally impossible to use!” UX: “hey we’re an app based on an actual physical radio with channels, but let’s ditch that taxonomy and create a library that you can’t edit and where it’s impossible find you know… the channels” Engineering: “What if we make the app really inefficient so it drains 20-30% of the battery while it’s in the BACKGROUND?” Engineering: “Oh and we’ll also drop the stream any time there’s even the slightest change in the network connection.” PM: “Team these are all excellent ideas… ship it!”
  • 2023 revamp is unsafe while driving

I used to be able to just go to my favorites and pick a channel and show. When the show was over it would automatically advance to next show. NOW i have to go back to podcasts, scroll down to find channel, and the expand show list; after the show is over you have to click and scroll just to get back where i was. Alternatively if i go to my library i can click on a favorite but there is no recent content to listen to. This us absolutely dangerous to do while driving!
