I cant remove the stupid AI. I dont want it, I never wanted it. It's an unnecessary addition that nobody wanted. Please either remove it or give the users an option to remove it.

So far, the app has been really cool. But there's a downside to it. Let me explain a bit because my mom fell prey to those who exploited this downside. For younger users, the app is super awesome, and trust me, we are tougher than concrete nails when it comes to being fooled. However, elderly or senior users of any gender are victims daily, with numbers reaching as high as thousands losing their accounts. That’s why I suggest this: A feature that not only protects both young and old users but also gives the company more room to develop and improve other areas without risking data theft and personal information phishing. A promising idea would be an “On-Device AI Guardian”—an intelligent, context-aware system that scans outgoing and incoming messages in real-time for potential risks, all processed locally on the user’s device to keep data secure. Here’s how it would work and benefit users: • Intelligent and context-aware detection: Using on-device machine learning (building on existing Meta AI capabilities), it would analyze message context, patterns, and content. For example, if a message includes suspicious links, urgent financial requests, or phishing phrases like “click here to claim your prize” from unknown contacts, it would flag it with a subtle warning pop-up before sending or opening. It could also detect sensitive personal data (like credit card numbers or addresses) in drafts and suggest redacting or switching to “View Once” mode. • Timely, relevant assistance: The feature would offer proactive suggestions, such as “This looks like a potential scam—verify sender?” or “Sensitive info detected: Blur before sending?” It could also recognize repeated scam tactics (like from blocked contacts) by analyzing chat history and auto-suggest blocking or reporting. • Streamlining usability and simplifying interactions: By automating risk checks, it lessens cognitive load—users wouldn’t have to manually scrutinize every message. Integration could include one-tap actions (like “Report & Block”) or auto-archiving suspicious threads, making the app more intuitive for all ages, especially vulnerable users like seniors. • Enhancing user experience: This would promote safer, more confident communication, preventing common pitfalls like falling for scams (a persistent issue on WhatsApp, with scams evolving alongside features). It aligns with the app’s privacy focus by operating entirely on-device, avoiding cloud uploads, and complying with regulations like GDPR. • Safeguarding data: All processing happens locally, ensuring no data is shared with Meta or third parties. Users could toggle it per chat or globally, with transparency logs showing detections without storing content. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to giving us the best user experience.

I think that even though it has many options, i think that it should be available without having a phone number because it would be easier for people with other devices(other than a phone)

  • The uselessness of Communities

In my opinion, WhatsApp still has a long way to go to catch up with Telegram. One of the main drawbacks of WhatsApp is related to groups: either users’ phone numbers are visible, or groups have to be created through Communities, which is not appealing at all 👎🏼 WhatsApp’s management should implement a plan that allows users to create groups in the simplest possible way, without exposing other people’s phone numbers and without relying on the ineffective Communities feature.
