  • Great app but has bugs.

This app is extremely handy when it comes to helping me log food, carbs and insulin. It helps me keep track of when to give insulin and how much, counting carbs etc. Been using it for years BUT: Needs an update! It can no longer find any barcode that I scan, and when I actually am able to log carbs, the carb count is incorrect. Ex: if I’m eating 45 carbs of rice, the app keeps trying to turn that 45 count into 1600. Please fix these bugs so that we can accurately log our carb count. :)
  • Poor Carb Data

The food library has a large amount of poor food carb data. However or whoever is building the library is allowing items to be revised/changed without notice.

  • I tell everyone about this app!

After getting out of the hospital less than 2 months ago: I’ve been able to lose 31.2lbs (as of today) and taken my a1c down almost 2%. It’s very easy to use; keeps track of my glucose levels, body weight, calorie intake, counts macros. I literally tell everyone, I couldn’t have done this well for this long had it not been for this app. No fast food or take out. Knowing I’d have to log that in the app, makes me want to go eat something healthy from my own kitchen! Thank you!

I use this to record my sugar very intuitive and accurate. Easily export your record as well. Recommended!
  • Great app, has been essential, BUT

This is great and helpful and has been essential in my 4 1/2 year, diabetic journey. I do suggest it but also suggest looking for something else. Occasionally this app gets bug fix updates although even that is rare. In fairness the app has always been VERY stable. There was an issue once and it was fixed in very quickly. It’s missing a number of things. For example when I add a medicine you are asked how often you take it. You can pick once a day to six times a day. Where is the option for “X” times a week or month. You also need to include the medicine’s unit. There is no option for ml. Many people pay for this app. No major features have been added to the app in a long time. How about a some widgets and an Apple Watch app? I’m not sure I have a reason to use this app. There are others out there that can track your BG and meds for free including the built in Apple Health app. This app does offer some other features and if you use them regularly that’s fantastic. I don’t so why am I paying for this? I also don’t use their monitor I use what’s covered by my health insurance.

Great app! It has helped me to go from a A1c of 9.9+ to 8.1 in less than a year! It’s easy to use, and it works great with my meter, Apple Watch, bathroom scales, etc! The only thing that you have to enter is the food you eat! And the report is great way to send your doctor!

This single tool has helped me lower my A1C from 10.2 to 8.4 to 7.5 so far in three months. I just could not seem to learn how to count Carbs before this. I have done so well that my daily Lantus Insulin requirement has dropped from 50 to 25 in the past three months. I am also walking 2 miles per day, and Glucose Buddy even keeps track of that. I can hardly wait to see my Doc in two weeks with my new me.

Would be perfect if the meal IQ log would be editable, like the time. Once it's saved as dinner and with the current time, you cannot change it to lunch with a different time. It's partly editable but won't actually change it. Meal IQ is amazing, but has it's bugs. When adding an item or editing the portions the nutritional values and servings change. Protein to 0 g and cups to unequal ounces. Regardless, it's an incredibly helpful tool to help me manage and track my gestational diabetes. The most complete from other apps that I have tried. Thank you! I'll buy premium if the bugs get fixed and add syncing of health app workouts.

Glucose buddy makes my life so much easier. No more tracking with pen and pencil. I love all the great options. The only thing I would like to see is a GKI conversion when glucose & ketones are logged.
