  • The Sound Quality is Incredible

I got Deezer because it was recommended as a Spotify alternative on BlueSky. The music recs are SO much better; I’m adding so many new artists to my queue. Also, I didn’t realize I’d been listening to garbage audio quality for so long. I was blaming my headphones for a while, but no. Spotify is just trash. Long live Deezer!

Not free at all. You have to pay to listen to music. None of the songs on my 21 + hour playlist could be listened to and it says I have to get premium to download the songs in order to listen to anything. This is a scam. Don’t waste your time.
  • Forces You to Feed the Algorithm

Cant even start using the app without telling them your 15 favorite artists so they can feed you suggested slop. Cannot skip this feature, so I skipped the service.

i got this app thinking it would be like apple music, i guess not! i downloaded it and deleted it after five minutes because you have to get premium to actually listen to a song you want. what i mean by this is, you can click on a song, to hear 30 seconds of it. why? i don’t know. instead, you have to listen to a shuffled playlist based off of that song??? i don’t know but i’d rather have ads then this pointless add on.

I’m really disappointed because I wanted something different than Spotify and found Deezer which I am liking. however, I only have Alexa devices and Deezer is not compatible to play on echos so I canceled my subscription and will be uninstalling.

audio quality is so good and it’s super easy to transfer your songs from spotify/apple music. it’s also cheaper than the mainstream apps. 10/10

I looooveeee the app. I switched from Spotify, and the transferring of my playlists was so easy. There are a few things I’d recommend changing, such as being able to add one song to multiple playlists at the same time, rather than having to do one at a time. Also being able to swipe the song to add to queue, and the whole queue going under the song I’m currently playing rather than going under the other songs in the playlist. Other than that I LOVE it and it’s very easy and use friendly.
  • Too costy for an inferior app.

(Final update; cancelling before 3rd month fee) Was subscribed for 2+ months to Premium ($15 a month?!) and I am very disappointed. -The algorithm is garbage. Suggestions from Deezer are limited and repetitive. No variety; I get the same daily suggestions for 1-2 genres split into 5 playlists -despite the extensive variety of my liked songs. I skip more songs than I listen to in a "personalized" mix, especially "Flow". Deezer suggests what Deezer wants you to listen to, not what you want to listen to.
  • NEED MORE LIKED SONGS!!

trying to make the switch from spotify. i really like that you can change the equaliser from song to song, the app was clearly made by music lovers. wish there were folders for playlists & a search bar instead of alphabetical. cons— liked song maximum of 10,000 is not nearly enough. artists w same name are very mixed up & missing albums.
