Great platform but the verification option is limited and in my country (Nigeria) we don’t have NFC issue ID cards, more option should be provided too, e.g school email verification, ID card etc not just NFC card

  • Feed is ruined by “likes” being treated equally to “reposts”

Hey LinkedIn please add an option in settings to exclude from our news feed any/all posts that are “liked” by connections or people we follow. The experience on this app is being ruined by the inundation of our feeds with “liked” content that has no relevance to the jobs/studies/careers of LinkedIn users. If someone wants to share something to the news feeds of everyone in their network, they do it with the “repost” function. That is exactly its purpose, and therefore people use it with that intention. But your algorithm has equated likes with reposts. Over 90% of the content in my feed is junk along the lines of “Connection likes this” and it’s just another bagel with cream cheese or some other low-quality content. Scrolling thru all that junk wastes everyone’s time. If I drop a like on something, it’s just my way of showing a positive response for the single person who posted that piece of content. The rest of my connections/followers don’t need to have their feeds cluttered with my cousin’s graduation post or whatever else I dropped a reaction on. If I thought something was important enough to bring to my wider audience of connections (who are mostly people in my industry), I’d use the repost button. I like reposting good cyber content to them. I don’t like having them buried by my likes of life updates from old college classmates. Ditto for all the other post reactions (celebrates, supports, etc). They’re useless as feed content generators, useful as feedback to the person who made the post.
  • The latest update is Anti-Human for requiring iOS update

The latest update require my iPhone to get to iOS 16.6 or higher. However I’m still using 7plus, yes I know it’s old and I’m planning to change a new iPhone, this hardware limited its update to iOS 15. This conflicting and anti-human designed update is disgusting.

Regret updating my LinkedIn app. It removed the “Following” tab. Could you please add it back on the next update? I really miss it and it’s nice to be able to filter your feed by just those you follow. Thanks.

I love Linkedln but can they look into the verification issue which acquired passport as government ID card. Because some people in another countryside never have that, that’s means they can’t use Linkedln proper way without passport verification please solve this issue I think National identity card is okay like add (NIN) option too thanks Linkedln team.
