  • Audio features are lousy

    This app is terrible for audio. The audio stops if I close the phone. I am currently trying to listen to an article read by an automated voice. I close the phone, it stops. I reopen the phone, and it somehow jumps to a random podcast episode. I’m mostly using Apple Podcasts for NYTimes produced podcasts, because this is unusable.

  • No longer a usable app for an older iPad

    Photos no longer load from your app. Text only loads for the first few sections. Opening a story- photos will not load. Text will not load beyond the first few paragraphs. I have no other apps running. I have cleared the cache. Still, even text will not load. I tried to submit a bug report and got a “something went wrong error 808” message. The paper is no longer readable on my iPad :( Please make the app usable again. I’m done buying new iPads just to keep up with the unnecessary “advances.”

    Why are comments randomly enabled for an article? At one moment they are disabled (yes!) then some random point in time someone enables them? What in the holy heck is wrong with you? Also, waiting on an investigative analysis on illegal immigration has on the healthcare industry. Take your time.

  • Cannot choose preferred content

    The main advantage of a news app over the website should be the ability to make your preferred content easier to access quickly. For example, the first things I want to check when I open the app are World news (Asia) and Business news. But they remain buried in several layers of menus with no setting to put them into a custom page or feed. And unlike the website, it’s not possible to navigate World news by region. Worse than just using the website. Except that the website constantly annoys you with popups pushing this worthless app.

    I have an iPhone. There is always something wrong with this app. I can’t see the articles. When I click on the app it opens to the date then, a black screen. When I click an article from notifications center the same happens. I think it has a bug. I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled it many times.

    would be great if the app worked. something happened with a recent update. it hangs up every time you press a button and often crashes. maybe they will fix it. they need to. it’s been a few months like this.
