It’s a good app. But I really wish it would add a tab where you could listen to all of the day’s top stories, Back to back to back. Currently, it’s possible to listen to some of the stories, but you have to manually go through each one, and sometimes the story in question does not have an audio option. I really value being able to listen, because I read a lot in my job and don’t wanna do more of that in my free time

I love the NYT! I read and/or listen to the news coverage, I use Wirecutter for product recommendations, I use the cooking section for recipes and cooking ideas, I listen to many of the podcasts…The Headlines, The Daily, The Ezra Klein show, Hard Fork and many others. I play Wordle and Connections every day. I do wish the news coverage didn’t have the slight liberal bias I feel it does, otherwise 100% happy with it!

Don’t have any complaints about NYT journalism—it speaks for itself. But man is this app utterly miserable to use as an interface for NYT. it’s egregiously littered with ads in the middle of every single article (not sure why paying subscribers are still served ads). Can only read NYT sanely on a browser that exposes granular enough an API to effectively block all ads (on iOS that’s just Safari + AdGuard). But it’s either that or might as well not even read NYT.

I often tell people that if I could only donate to one single organization in the country, whether for-profit or nonprofit, it would be the New York Times. No other organization protects our democracy more, and without a high standard of human rights and Democratic protections, little else matters. The numbers of reporters covering our government is staggering. In addition, the non-political coverage brings so much joy: the arts, culture, food, science for the lay person, and more. Thank you, New York Times!

It’s very difficult to find the headlines now. So disappointing

I would like to be able to get the front page when I sign in so I can look at all the articles and look at the table of contents, the same way as I at the Wall Street Journal. I am paying for the press reader edition, but I don’t know what that gets me.
