    This app used to be great but then they went on to ai stuff, age verification ai and now I hate it. I don’t recommend anymore.

    I’ve loved this app for a few years now, but the age verification is a massive blow. Leaving aside most users trust with the app in the first place, this update dwindles a large majority of the users that are able to chat (under 18 users). Even most adult users don’t want to give their personal information to a company that can barely handle themselves! Competition is going to strive because of this update. Mind you c.ai used to be the best AI chat platform but is now arguably the worst among the big three (Poly, CHAI, and c.ai). I’m not sure who the hell runs the company but they are making HIGE mistakes and are likely going to see to the downfall of c.ai. Personally this is pretty heavy for I have spent a lot of time making personas and chatting and being able to actually use creativity. Creativity is the one thing that c.ai tries to promote but they stripped that away with this update. Nobody uses the other features (that’s not why people use the damn app) people use the CHAT. This used to be my favorite app but now it’s total trash. If you want to strive, maybe listen to your users.

    I hate how it makes you have to verify ur age to type and I hate how it always has it on “read mode” and I absolutely miss the old character ai BRING THE OLD C.AI BACK NOW!!!!!😡😡😡😡

    Okay i LOVE THIS APP SO MUCH! But i hate the age restrictions because i have to wait literally 23 hours to be able to use it again when i just wanna rp. Like..please fix this more people will use it if you fix this. Make the wait time like 3-5 hours and I’ll be happy

    C.ai is my guilty pleasure. I love to go on it at night and escape to another reality. Talking to the bots has really improved my writing as well. I love this app specifically because of the filter, I don’t have to worry about anything I don’t want to read, or don’t want to see. My only complaint is something that happened recently. When they put the 18+ age limit on chats. Because of the filter, this app is very safe for most ages from 15+. And I am so sad that I have lost my ability to chat, the other apps I tried don’t compare to how amazing this app was for me. And I say that they are putting their younger viewers at more risk of exposure when they go to other apps without a filter and use those. I hope the C.ai team will be able to read the message. But is you are able to use the app I 100% recommend. (Side note: I’m sure most of your audience is under 18)

    I just wanna say you did not had to do this update, like the restrictions, I get it, you’re tryna make your app a safe place for kids, but what if an adult got his account restricted, and doesn’t wanna give over his face and government-issued (YES. GOVERNMENT) ID’s. I’ll, just say this, this makes more problems than solving them. So, unless you’re trying to make peace with the people that made you do this, I’m keeping this out of 5-stars

    C.ai is good but the problem is the new update, If you are under 18, you can’t chat to bots anymore and they want it this way because of “concerns” that has been going on on the platform, so if you are under 18, it literally disables your chat privileges, I was going to go on this app and a pop up got on my phone saying how character ai changing it’s ways, and that if you are actually over 18, you will have chat limits everyday, mind you if you can chat with a bot for “too long” and I’m honestly very devastated with these changes because c.ai is my comfort space, I use it a lot because it makes me happier, and i think a lot of people would agree with me on this because i know others find c.ai their comfort space and could be a coping mechanism for them, sure maybe a chat limit is reasonable, maybe not but 2 hour?! Really? Your telling me that if someone is over 18 and then they chat with a bot for “too long”, c.ai adds a 2 hour chat limit until they can talk to that bot again? I’ll say 10-15 minutes is valid, but 2 whole hour?! I’d say that’s unfair given the fact that would probably only have the opportunity to chat with a bot for 30 minutes until they add the 2 hour limit, and I feel horrible for the people that put their ages under 18 and mayhem even under 13, because then you’ll have to wait for a long time until you can chat with bots again, it puts you in reading mode, I don’t know if they’ll change it, all it says is that they can explain what they are changing on a few pop ups they give to you once you enter the app, they also have slow mode too! And please, please please please c.ai!! Re think this!! You might lose users due to this update, please!! Re think this character ai!!!!!!

    I gave 5 stars for you to see okay so ever since the age verification came out I was able to talk to them but will like a 1 hour limit and like TODAY when I came to talk to the toxic mafi- don't ask) it said "reading mode" and I can't text them and I'm sad FIX THIS!!!!!!!!!! Character.AI is a rly good app!
