  • App is broken

I am on Apple iOS version 26.2 and my app suddenly is displaying an error indicating to restart or try again later. I can get to my account normally through desktop browser. Even when I reinstall the app, it gets stuck on the same error loop after the terms of service. The app is effectively broken.

Tried on iPad and iPhone. Will not load, I go to accept the privacy and security agreements when you first load the app. And it gets stuck on a permanent reload loop.
  • Decent but…

I truly love the selection on here, it’s great HOWEVER I think this app especially would be made infinitely better by just working under a subscription service. I’m sure more money would be made that way and a lot more people would be willing to use the app. As someone just trying it, I feel much less likely to want to use it long term as opposed to say the Marvel Comics app or Shonen Jump.
  • The Worst Mainstream Manga App

I want to like this app because they have a good selection of titles, but that benefit is undone completely by multiple factors: Lack of subscription options: Unlike their competitors, this app completely lacks a subscription option that gives access to paid content. This makes the app’s use prohibitive to power users. Additionally, the passes given out for reading free chapter expire and purchase systems have an obtuse currency breakout. Heavy handed censorship: Even images of the mouth during a kiss are being censored. Additionally, most censorship is done with edge to edge panel black boxes, covering large portions of the scene beyond what was flagged as offensive. Choppy reading experience: You can’t just read through multiple chapters smoothly, it forces you to return to the chapter select screen upon completing one. Of note, it throws a little ad for other series in there (even if you purchased that chapter) and forces you to hit a button saying you “liked” the chapter in order to make a comment, which are minor but still poor decisions.
  • Terrible Gacha Grab but Great Manga Source

This is a great app for reading really good manga and finding new ones. The ticket system and point system however is flawed to the point it’s worth finding the manga elsewhere instead of overspending to read it digitally on an app. I would better serve the readers if this was a subscription service app like Viz Media or Shonen Jump. If K Manga ever changes to that model then I’ll update my rating but until then this app is a library of things I want to read but will find elsewhere to actually read.
  • It’s good, but annoying!

Then app itself isn’t terrible, interface good, library good. Wish there was a dark mode for the navigation but it’s not a big deal. My gripe with it is “unlocking chapters” system they use. It’s very annoying! If you run out of free unlocks for the day then you have to make micro transactions for more and the chapters re-lock after a certain amount of time has passed. I’d much rather just be charged a flat monthly subscription and be able to freely read at my own pace like the SJ and VIZ apps.
  • For a major publisher it feels like one of the money-grab light novel apps

I downloaded this app to read Gachiakuta, used all my free points and actually bought a pack of points to keep reading, but then I realized that there were missing features (writer interviews, &c.) and pages. Not only that but the way to unlock chapters is really inconsistent and confusing.

Tip top app for manga. Always the first one I open when looking for something new or different to start. Can’t recommend it enough
  • Ticket system

I do not fully understand the ticket system yet but I would love more opportunities to unlock more
  • Please adopt subscription model

I’m a fan of the catalog and how reading the pages feel natural but what I truly can’t stand that keeps me from the app is the point system. The tickets are mostly inoffensive, you get lots of free ones and it feels reasonable, but the points are egregious! I got this app to read Versus as I’m a huge ONE fan, but after 5 chapters it’s no longer tickets and the points required to reach each chapter is the equivalent of 5 dollars after that! I understand not every series has this high of a threshold, I may still comeback for Vinland saga and gachiakuta but as it is now I will not, I much prefer how Shonen jump does it with there 5 dollars a month or Marvel unlimited with a subscription having access to the entire manga. Would not currently recommend this app.
