  • excellent for neovim coding

this app is excellent for coding to my MacBook Pro. That is on the same Wi-fi 6. I use neovim to look through code while I'm laying down with my iPad. and I use my split Bluetooth keyboard to write. leetcode.nvim and this app has become a before sleep activity, and i can thank blink for making this possible via my ipad air 2020
  • Best app for Vim & Tmux over SSH

I tested 5 terminal emulators, and none of them came close. I was able to fully replicate all of my Karabiner keybindings from my macbook (cmd->control, capslock->escape), which I use for remote Vim and Tmux development. Many of the other apps I tested (iSh, Terminus, Shelly, Webssh, a-shell), were just missing various features - keybindings, slow key repeats, no port forwarding. Cons: there is a bug with the cmd-w shortcut remapping, but someone else posted a solution on Github luckily.
  • Blink Classic

Developers backtracked and now previous lifetime license purchases are being honored once again. Rating changed back to 5 stars. This continues to be the best SSH/Mosh client on iOS.
  • Not Working on My New iPhone

Got a new iPhone and now can't get this app working. "RESTORE PURCHASES" doesn't work. I see "Blink Shell Classic" is still a listed option in the App Store, but the only options I am seeing in the app are "BLINK+BUILD" and "BLINK+". The developer responded to someone else with, "You can still restore the previous icon of the old app inside Settings > Appearance." However, I cannot get past the subscription page so can't get to "Settings".
  • $20 Gone

I hadn’t used this thing in ages but I wanted to sync my iPad to work in my simpler remote projects. Behold, I get greeted with a subscription screen and now I see an avg rating of 3.1. Didn’t take much guesswork that the dev had jumped the shark. Deleting this and I’m back to using Textastic and working copy which I paid for all upgrades and thankfully I can still use without subscription
  • What Did I Pay Money For?

I used Blink for a couple years, and it was pretty solid. It allowed me to do everything I needed to do on a limited platform. But the money I spent to purchase the app…that went down the drain, because now you’re required to purchase a NEW license, under a subscription model. Not cool.
  • Can I get a refund?

I get that app companies need to make money, and, in doing so, have moved to a subscription based price model. But I bought the original app, and they designed a new one. I was able to use the old one but I upgraded my phone and the old blink app is no longer available to install. This is really disappointing. At least please respond to this with an explanation…
  • Was great until the need for a subscription

Was thoroughly impressed with the slick interface and ease of use. Unfortunately they have introduced a subscription model that is REQUIRED for use. Very disappointed and quite scummy of the devs to implement all of the sudden. Needless to say, I will be moving on from blink.
  • Great Apps for minimalism and good features

This terminal app is minimal but offers enough features that make terminal in iOS easier: 1. Arrow keys support 2. SSH host and key management 3. Nerd Font support (Really important!) I understand that a lot users are complaining on the subscription based purchase mode. But I completely understand it. In the end, the developers need to make an earning. So if you are coming from the old era where you bought it permanently, you are a lucky guy. But don’t rate the app with low stars just because the update for subscription only mode.
  • Great app especially for coding

This is the only SSH app out of all the SSH clients in the App Store that supports proper font rendering necessary for VIM / Neovim. I can do all of my tmix / neovim development from this app on my iPad just like I’m at my computer. People complaining about a 20 per year subscription are ridiculous. The most downloaded ssh app on the App Store costs 6 times more *per year*. Recommended! Love that the source is available too.
