  • Super Unrealistic for Beginners

    As the title says, this app is super unrealistic for beginners (even with a plan set to the appropriate level). From no running to a 4 minute conversational pace in a week? Nope. Unlike other plans in the app, there’s no way to dial down the intensity for the two lowest plans. I think this will be more helpful when I get more established as a runner, but not anytime sooner. It’s going to discourage you as a beginner. Find an app where you can manually create a custom plan to get you started.

    I have loved this app up until now! But now I keep having to delete it and re-download it to get past the treadmill review part. As far as workouts go it’s awesome. But I can’t get anyone to answer questions about the glitching.

    I’m restarting running and decided to try an app. This app allowed me to ease into running again without taking on too much. Documenting my distances and adding stretching and strength training helps as well.

    Awesome app. Amazing. Until 1 week into your personalized running workouts and it’s 20 dollars a month to keep recording runs. Just another slimy gross corporate joke. Whatever happened to paying for a good product and that was the end of it? Now if you want access to ANYTHING it’ll be 5, 10, 20, dollars a MONTH until you inevitably cancel it. And for what? It’s not like you’re getting something different every month. All existing benefits are hard wired into the code of the app. You never receive any benefit from it being a subscription. Only they get to leech off of you until you finally read your credit card statement and cancel it. Whatever.

    New runner here. I’ve tried a few running apps with no success. I came upon this app through beginners running and thought I’d check it out. I’m now on my 6th week, totally consistent and looking forward to running my first 5 k. I love love this app! It really does have a lot to offer, from full body workouts to yoga, Pilates, the warm ups to cool downs. Such a no brainer, I needed this cause I didn’t know where or how to start. Now I’m On my way. Go me!!💪

    Used it for the first time tonight. Really enjoyed the coaching - telling me when to slow down and why. The pacing was great. It’s like having a running coach right next to you.
  • Over complicated and over rated

    Syncs with Apple easily enough…but then doesn’t actually link workouts with the app. But, will duplicate them in your Apple health, so now both apps are incorrect and confusing. When you complete a plan, all your prior run info becomes hard to find. Don’t assume it’s going to carry it forward to the next plan you make, either-it won’t, so as you’re trying to make the next plan you’ll be flipping through apps trying to find your actual run times. The app often crashes when you’re running on treadmill -sometimes you can open it again and it will recover, sometimes not. Sometimes you’ll complete the run on the app but your watch will continue to run as if it hasn’t. Trying to adjust setting to get what you want is like it’s in another language. I somehow make my runs longer and slower when I want the app to push me faster for shorter. It makes no sense. Yet overall, I’d say this app is like democracy and capitalism….not very good, but still better than anything anyone else has come up with so far.
