  • Not a great app

I’m pretty disappointed with this app. I’ve heard the website is better, but I’ll never go there, it’s the app or nothing for me. I hate that I can’t edit a chat post, because I spend most of my time in the Chat. The chat is confusing because too many people don’t know how to reply in a thread, they muddy our chat with quote replies. Maybe a “reply in thread” could be available along with the quote reply option. It is also difficult to get to the home pages for my subscriptions. There should be an option for those to be easier to find. Also, how do I clear my media queue? When I finish an episode I keep automatically going to things I’ve already watched. Very frustrating.

Ron Filipkowski is a gem! I marvel at his tenacity in exposing Trump and his sycophants. Thanks.
  • Cumbersome

While the idea of having an app for my newsletters sounds efficient, it actually makes me less inclined to read the newsletters I sign up for. There is way too much noise and nonsense flooding the home page, notes, conversations, etc that I'm actually on the verge of deleting the app so I can just get my newsletters to my email inbox once again
  • Does not work on iPad after latest update.

Can’t login after the latest update I just go to some weird splash screen. Can’t even login on the website.
  • Backwards update

With a recent update when reading on an iPhone, there is a link toward the top that says “read in app”. Instead of taking you to the actual article that you’re reading it opens up Substack in the App Store. And there’s no way to find the article. I just interacted with tech-support who had no clue what I was talking about and what to do.
  • Not receiving code

I can't access the full versions of the articles, because it asks for a phone number so a call can be sent. But it glitches instead of sending out the code

  • App keeps crashing, giving error code 403

Can no longer log into the app. It kept getting Error 403 whenever I tried to view my feed. Their AI help robot said to log out and log back in again, but after I logged out, I couldn’t log back in because it kept giving error 403. Deleted and reinstalled app and got the same issue. Unreliable app.
  • Worthless

I wanted to follow one page. The app account setup forces you to subscribe to people you don’t want to. That’s a total failure.
  • Poor UX for Recipes

Having to save files on my mobile device instead of just seeing recipes in the app is an annoying experience for the user. I want to come to the app to have a one stop shop vs having to now navigate to my Google Drive to see a recipe
