It’s so reliable for recipe storing. I never think twice on what to cook with this app on my folder now. Love it so much.
  • I do not often find paid app features worth it, but pestle 100% is worth every penny

I don’t buy many apps, because I often find myself using them briefly then forgetting them in the shuffle. When I say I use Pestle daily, I mean it. This definitely the best cooking app ever, but also one of the best apps I have period. The developer is great (and lightning fast for support) and the app is clean, useable and handy. If you like keeping track of favorite recipes, this here is the one. Just download it, you won’t be disappointed.

Its nice and clean to use, and it’s so good at importing website recipes. I thought I lost all my recipes but it turns out it had just signed me out, but Pestle was quick to respond and help :)

I’m new to this app and am at the stage of trying to get my cookbook in order. Hoping this will be the solution I need to get my recipes all in one place and make meal planning easier! My main complaint so far is the categories. Would really love to be able to customize those, but at the very least, it would be nice if the categories made sense. Why is there both “Main” and “Main Course” but not one for “Soup”??
  • Good but extremely frustrating for 1 easily fixable reason

The share name is misleading. When I’m trying out a new app, I’m comparing many similar apps. In the case of cookbooks, I have 5 right now and probably a few others from a long time ago. All on my iPhone. When I go to a recipe web site and click share the iPhone list of apps to share to is listed. Here’s the HUGE problem. Your app says “Share to your Cookbook”. It’s taken me months to figure out that that’s Pestle. That’s very frustrating. Your app wasn’t in the same group as the other recipe apps on my phone. I must have installed it a while ago. I finally found it by scrolling through ALL of my apps looking for the matching icon from the share list. -It’s very presumptuous for you to assume that your app is the users primary if not only cookbook and therefore gets to be called “Your Cookbook” -Having Cookbook begin with a capital makes it seem like that’s the name of the app. There’s already an app on my phone called CookBook (capital B is intended). So the interface says you’re saving to your app and you’re not using your apps actual name. How is the user supposed to know where the recipe went? -None of the screens when you’re finalizing what’s saved state the name of the app either. There’s not even an About or Help or anything. So I highly recommend that you change these 2 things: -Make it so that it says “Share to Pestle” in the iPhone list of share destinations. -Provide a way for the user to know it’s Pestle while in your app’s save recipe interface that opens when you select it from share destination list. Easily fixable and huge experience and brand notoriety benefits.

Import recipes from anywhere, including my faves - screenshots from IG, photos from cookbooks, and recipe websites.

I love the simplicity of this app. This is the first app I’ve come across that makes cooking super simple. It’s nice that I can store away my recipes & don’t haven’t to rely on bookmarking anymore in my browser!
