I was inside when my phone issued a Watch Duty alert … wow that looks close. Ran to the back door and smoke was right above the house. Thankfully the wind pushed it slightly away from our house and with a great response from local fire limited to only 100 acres. But incredibly close and Watch Duty alerted me first. County evacuation calls happened 2 hours later!!
  • Only the west?!!

The wildfire map does not include the eastern USA. Not sure why it only encompasses the west when the east have major fires too.

  • App is very glitchy

The Watch Duty app works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t. The map will switch to an unusable mosaic of numbers and letters and the extras you pay for in your membership will work sometimes and then become unusable. I have contacted support, they say they are aware of the issues. It’s too bad they can’t fix the bugs, the app concept is great.

This app was very useful to me in Atlanta tracking the recent Palisades fires and keeping in touch with my sister who lives blocks away in Santa Monica. Small donation made to you in gratitude today. Thanks!!

This app is not only invaluable in fire-prone areas, it’s worthy of your donation. It’s location based, quick, and clear, with written and photo-based updates of each fire, no matter the size, that answer everything I need to know to assess my safety. Simply excellent. Especially after trying other ways to get similar information for years. Grateful to have it.
