Reviews

  • Doesn’t provide breakdowns by license type

I have a general class license, so I have limitations. I was hoping this app would be easier to read than the ham band charts freely available. It is not. Not recommended. Go get the free chart from ARRL.

So I was hoping to be able to see my frequency allocations as a general class operator but the app show that I have access to the entire 40m band which is not the case. Not a lot of value here. I will just save the pdf from arrl to my phone.

Very well done! The UI is inviting. Individual country bands are represented by using photos from that country - very nice.

This new application is already a very useful resource for my Amateur Radio activities, particularly during field operations when I rely upon my iPhone and/or iPad. The developer definitely used his radio experience when creating this utility. In my view, it is an essential tool for field operators!

John has done a fantastic job laying out band information. The app is beautiful in it’s simplicity really. All the bands worldwide laid out by country and band with each specifically referencing operating modes, frequency allocations and corresponding notes. Also has external links to governing agencies for reference. The app lets you select to display all countries, countries you select, or even a “favorites” list of individual bands you select as such. Graphically it pleasing and is such a nice upgrade from the standard laminated band plan sheet. Developer responds quickly to questions and I don’t doubt the app will evolve. Well worth the price.

This app does a good job of providing the information on the ham band frequency charts but instead of just for the US this is for the entire world - the developer is quick to reply to suggestions. You can tell he has a deep understanding of amateur radio.
